If none of you havent seen it you may have to wait a few days the movie is sold out almost anywhere. In fact in one hour the movie made 1.8 million dollers (midnight showing)
I saw it and I personly find it to be the best comic movie of all time. far better then spiderman, superman and ironman. I highly recomend you guys to see it.

I saw the midnight showing as well. Although I was abit skeptic because of the massive marketing hype, I have to admit the movie itself was flat out awesome. Anyone clamoring over how great Jack Nicholson's Joker after seeing Ledger's should be slapped in the face. Nicholson's just seems so childish and lame now in comparison.

Seriously, just wow.

And of course it's better than Spider-Man, Superman or Iron Man.. they're all cool characters (and any Interordi veteran probably knows my feelings on Spider-Man) but the material to work with in Batman - the comics - are just much better themselves ;D

Okay, so here's the deal.

Spoiler (click to toggle)

It's a sin to call this "The Dark Knight". "Heath Ledger will kick your ass" is far more appropriate; because, that seems to be the point of the film. The Joker here is so ridiculously awesome that I can only find one real problem here.

How?...How can the Joker possibly have that many resources set up so consecutively? Unless there are time skips, it is literally impossible to have that much set up that fast. How the hell would he put that many barrels of Gas there without a damn soul seeing it? It's just plain impossible to have a plan so linear and postulated as what his appears throughout here.

With my problem adressed, it's time to look at the bright side. Heath was at his absolute best for this film and really brought out the Joker's psychosis beyond any non-comic adaption before him. Christian Bale was also excellent but overshadowed by Heath. Maggie Gyllenhall was underdeveloped and her Rachael Dawes deserved more screen time than it got. Aaron Eckhart was also excellent as Harvey Dent with the exception of his ever so horrifying butt chin becoming prominent in most of his close-ups. Morgan Freeman is the man, enough said. Any others did enough for me not to yell at them.

Come to think of it I have one more gripe, and it's a bit of an incident similar to the Batman and Robin on ice incident. The opening scene has the Joker escaping by taking a schoolbus, which he crashed through a wall, and driving it into a schoolbus convoy. Here's the problem, the thing was A. CRASHED INTO A FRICKING WALL and B. PLASTERED IN FREAKING DRY WALL, but somehow he can still just pull out and join the middle of the convoy, coming directly out of the wall and join the goddamn convoy. How in the hell can he just get in there like nothing happened?

Oh, and one more the Asian gangster CEO dude was a completely unnecessary character.

Oh, but what's this, another? Two-Face became completely stripped of my interest when I realized he didn't have the split personality that makes him interesting in the comics.

In my personal opinion, it seemed a bit rushed. If you think about it it's creepily similar to Spiderman three. There are two heroes in the movie, and three villains. One of the heroes becomes one of the villains at one point in time, (opposite of spidey three but the principle is the same) Personally I thought two-face was more unnecessary unless it's to set up for the next movie (more than likely) But yeah, if I get the opportunity I'll probably try and watch it again, alot happens in those two and a half hours and with the scenery as an entire city and a bunch of new characters, it can be hard to track that and the plot simultaneously. It was a good movie, but to my tastes I don't think it beat Iron Man.
