It looks like a fighting/action game, with Final Fantasy characters from all over the place, all in one game with something of a story going on. The only lead is some devilish looking monster and a cloudy hand from the sky. (God vs. Satan?)

Its kinda funny that Sephiroth is confirmed to be in the game, while Cloud Strife isn't confirmed--its pretty much a given he'll be in there.

EDIT: btw, what kind of special secret character should be in this game? You know, crossover characters in the FF series, like Gilgamesh, who is cut out for this game (pun intended...lol).

He should be in it. Dont worry Teej, I vote Sora too. A KH crossover in a FF game would be nice for a chance and this game is perfect for that.

Yes, Cosmos is an original character for the game. From what I heard, she's the opposite of Chaos.

Epic Cloud Vs. Sephiroth fight, despite what anti-FFVIIs might think.

Pfft, that looks kickass no matter what. I've got to get a hands-on and see how this combat system works out.

It was matter of course that Cloud would be also in the game (because there's Sephiroth and fangirls demand both of them).
Shantotto from FFXI is included in Dissidia too. This aroused a thought that "will there be possibly more characters coming?" although the release date is after few days. Most likely none.
I might even buy this game if I find it enjoyable for spending extra free time.

But really, FF-games have been popping up like mushrooms in rain.

The Japanese opening. Cool stuff. I must say, Zidane looks awesome stacked up to fit the same realistic-style look of the other Final Fantasy characters, in comparison to his former midget-look.


And hmmm, Gabranth, eh? Haven't seen any videos or heard any news about him being in the game. If so, I guess FFXII's hero cameo will be Vaan, unfortunately. Too bad it might not be someone cooler, like Ashe.

Or better yet, how about Rasler, just for the sake of seeing him in action for longer than 2 minutes, in all of his badass looking glory.

Just by the shear fact that this is officially coming to the US is enough to keep me satisfied. I can wait until the end of the summer for this.

I've been playing quite a bit of this game (surprised?) and it seems to do it's hype justice.

The game may seem a little "eh" at first, but once you find a character you like, level them up, and customize them to your liking, the game gets much more fun.

I'm not all that far with the Story Mode myself. So far, I've collected the crystals for Firion, Cecil, and Cloud. I'm currently working to get Tidus' right now. I'm completing each character's Story by difficulty, from easiest to hardest.

If you must know, I actually played Cecil's Story before playing Cloud's.

Anyways, all I can say is, if you like fighting games and Final Fantasy, you'll definitely want to try this one out.

But keep in mind, your first impressions may perceive the game to be too repetitive or too difficult at first, but this will most likely wear off once you've adjusted to the character's strategies and experimented a little, and found a character you like and acquire their better abilities/equipment and leveled them up to your liking.

This game requires time and patience, (like any RPG) as well as practice and experimentation (like any fighting game.)
