I had a dream last night.

I was playing a video game, that was a cross over of Mega Man 2 and Zelda 2. The 8 main dungeons were close by, but before you could gain access into the dungeon, I had to find an item to get into the dungeon.

What do you think, would such a game be a good idea for Mega Man?

I recently watched Iron Man 3 in Theater. Awesome.

It was alot better than number 2, that's for sure.

Did anyone else see it yet?

It's a bit over the place. Tony seems to have taken a step backwards in character in lieu of more banter, Ivan Vanko isn't as good of an antagonist, Justin Hammer (while being extremely entertaining) isn't terribly needed, the movie as a whole is a bit more crude than the first one...it's decent, but not as polished as the first.

The second movie seemed fine to me, but then I don't read the comics, so I'm hardly in any position to be comparing them.

The third has Tony outside of his suit more than the first two, yet also feels a little more action-y throughout the movie, probably due to it being more spread out. The kid sidekick might've been unnecessary, but his interaction with Tony was great.

The third movie didn't really seem that great to me honestly. I think part of the reason was due to how jarvis was in this movie compared to the other two. The suits also seemed to be pretty fragile this time around, even though he could generally take a beating earlier. :s

The idea for the villain/s was pretty interesting though. I like how they could regenerate and provide a pretty decent threat to iron man through their use of overheating.

I recently bought NEW Super Mario Bros. for the NintendoDS.

As I am playing it, something crossed my mind. I can totally see Mega Man in that graphic style.

It could fit Megaman 1-3, for the first release. 4-6 for the second, 7-9 for third. 10, R&f and MMV for the final. Make the whole series, with one style of graphic. That one.

No more remakes. No more retro junk. Something new with current technology.

Seconded. Something freaking new.

And yet, when something "new" with Megaman comes out, everyone complains.

Personally I'd like to see a 3D reboot of Megaman Zero, with a grittier edge. Maybe a darker storyline, and the feeling that there's a bit more at stake.

They keep producing subpar products and expect us to lap it up. That's in general with Capcom, not just Mega Man. Many people don't let that fly.

Darker? Most of the X and Z series' games felt pretty dark, though in a few it wasn't as evident as in some others. The other series had dark moments, but were overall pretty light, except for the Classic series. That one was more like an episodic Saturday morning cartoon in tone and not really comparable to the others.

I admit though, if a 3D Zero game were to come out, I'd play it.

The Zero series especially was slightly dark, but that was always overshadowed by the toning down for the audience and bright, colorful graphics. A fully immersive OSHIT experience would be amazing.

I don't feel that MM9 and 10 were "subpar". Have they even released anything else Megaman related since?

Subpar, no, but they sure as hell didn't need to put a whole lot of effort into making either of those games. They were quite blatantly for the old-time fans and did nothing to really garner interest in new fans to increase sales and make the franchise viable.

Why do some Megaman fans continually think that it's possible for a Megaman game to be made that both appeals to old fans and attracts new ones? Seriously. What popular new gaming trends can Capcom insert into Megaman without alienating the fanbase?

I really don't get why Megaman fans have a hard time accepting we're a niche. You don't have to like games like Megaman 9 or 10 but at least we're not getting shit like Bomberman Act Zero.
