Gah, I meant to say Japanese animation... This cold has been messing with my head more than I thought.
Hahah! It's alright, Doc! Hope you get well soon though. XD

I hate yaoi with the fury of a thousand suns, and all fangirls associated with it (and the few fanboys, I dunno which is more annoying honestly)
Just for assuming I would do that I'm not watching your precious animu
Oh? I thought you'd be the type of girl that would enjoy these kinds of things... I guess you can't really know something about a person until you ask them about it. lol
Aw, c'mon man! I didn't mean it like that! I'm really sorry for assuming, so please give Higurashi a shot! Even Doc likes it! (or were you taking about Kyo Kara Maoh? Oh, and did I just assume something about Doc too? lol) I'll love you forever if you do! [platonic]

Uhhh, Kyo Kara Maoh isn't a yaoi.... It's a comedy series, you should check it out 8D
Kyo Karo Maoh! begins when Yuri intervenes upon finding his former classmate, Ken Murata , being bullied, and intervenes allowing Murata to run away, but getting his head dunked in a toilet by the bullies instead. When his head enters the water, he is sucked into the toilet, and ends up in another world. Waking on dry land, he initially assumes that he is at a theme park, because of the medieval-style clothes the inhabitants wear. Thus he finds out he is the Maoh, the Demon king of Shinmakoku and has to lead the future of the Demon Race to peace.
Well, I haven't seen the anime yet anyways - I'm just taking the word of other people who told me about it. If it is comedy and stuff, perhaps I'll give it a watch sometime too. How you describe it, it sounds interesting.

I was checking on this yesterday, and I was surprised to see that the first season was available here on DVD... I assumed that this was the kind of crazy stories that never make it to our shores!
Oh Doc! You've been living under a rock for too long! XD
I think even the dubbed version from Funimation was released about 2 or 3 years ago. I guess it's just like what you said before (sorry, paraphrasing here): 5 years ago, saying (something taboo 5 years ago) would get you banned instantly, but now no one really cares. lol
Higurashi is probably one of the most popular anime out there, probably for quite some time.
