After weeks of talks and planning, a group of adventurers decided to make a stand: they'd go and rid the land of the dangerous EnderDragon, whose lair was at the extreme edge of the world as we know it.
DrCossack, Krodane, Sagecryst and TopHatLayton. These are the four heroes who were ready to go forward and put an end to the reign of the evil beast. Weeks, nay, months of hunting and mining had been required to assemble everything required for this noble quest. Armor had to be forged, weapons needed to be imbued, pearls had to be hunted, and rods needed to be secured. At last our troop set forth, and after much struggle, reached a point where they were ready.
"Let's go!", claimed a companion as the warriors headed to the Stronghold. Several hours of travel were required to reach this far-away location, but the efforts of building a railway paid off by offering a more secure way to move around even at night. They needed to keep their straight for the upcoming struggle, of course. Our heroes were then able to reach the End Portal Room for a last moment of peace before facing the great unknown. This was a one-way trip, and everyone knew that the only way out was by defeating the beast, or getting killed by it.
Krodane decided to open the path by going first, and thus plunged. The rest of the fellowship was right behind him. What awaited them on the other side, however, was a total surprise: they were isolated from the main land, stuck in a small floating island! After getting a solid hold of their surroundings, they decided to build a bridge and create a path to invade the Dragon's lair. He himself was away; his servents, however, were not. Many Endermen were mulling around, as far as the eye could see. Multiple towers of obsidian littered the land, on the top of which powerful idols laid.
The Dragon might have been in hiding, or causing havoc on some far away land. One thing was clear, however: he'd be returning soon, and the heroes had to be ready to make their stand. They crossed the land, learned of how it was structured, and made a plan: "SHOOT THE IDOLS", the mighty Sagecryst yelled. As they dispersed to shoot down these symbols of terror, something in the distance glowed... fear set in... as the powerful EnderDragon moved in and gracefully flew above the land for all to see!
He was back, and would show no mercy to our party. They scrambled around, aiming to take down the idols as quickly as possible. These could channel energy into the Dragon, in turn healing him of any damage done by the adventurers. The Dragon, obviously, would have none of this as he ordered his Endermen to viciously attack the group in the middle of their task. Sagecryst and TopHatLayton had no chance: they were slaughtered mercilessly as the Endermen ganged upon them. Thrown back into the overworld, they had no choice but to make a desperate run back in the melee. DrCossack was almost slain too when a lone Enderman took him by surprise, but Krodane intervened and turned the tide back in his favor. The two lost members being back, and the idols all destroyed, they could set their sights on the final goal: taking down the Dragon.
It was a long and gruelling fight. The EnderDragon floated above all, out of reach of arrows, swooping down from time to time to hope to take one of the comrades by surprise. Some were shocked, some were pushed around and fell from their position, but their strength kept them alive. Arrows and swords were handled by these experts, and the Dragon's strength was gradually leaving him. Courage swelled in the heart of the warriors, who dared hope being able to vanquish this foe. At long last, one last hit connected, and it was the end of the reign of the once-powerful EnderDragon.
It was done. The enemy was dead, and all four of the heroes were still alive. As they catched their breath, they savored this long-awaited victory. At last, they could go home and hear the voices of the Odd Ones. The world was free once again.
For those who missed this epic struggle, fear not! Rumors are already being spread that the EnderDragon could be reborn from it's ashes, and new heroes will be needed to keep the land at peace... What's old will be new again...
