Every time the page is loaded, the browser recieves the data from the page. Unlike most programs, the message board runs through its code ONE TIME. This means that in order to view any changes in the data(posts and inbox) you must access the page again.

hey, the mettaurs/metools/metalls (depending on wat game u are playing) on the title of each thread or category:

I know the ones that are up mean there are new posts, ones that are down mean there aren\'t. ones that have a big cross thing on them mean they\'re locked, but what does it mean when they\'re on down and on fire, up and on fire or running and on fire?

Do you find the Leveing Up system to be a little to tempting for people? I think by taking it away we can decrease the SPAM ten-fold.

It\'s your choice as this is obviously your site.

I\'m just a member with a suggestion.

The only problem is that the levelling up system and everything like that is a nice touch. It normally lets you realise how experiances people are. The SPAMmer people, if you thinl about it, are only a small minority and if they are here, they just come across as complete prats.

Uh...Doc? about half the time when I post, I get an error message from IE that say it has an error and needs to close and asks me to send an error report. What do I do to stop it?

I think the problem could be a bug in IE. If it were I, I would send an error report and hope Microsoft fix the bug.

Nevermind, it stopped on its own. It doesn\'t happen anymore. Damn Windows XP!

What\'s the difference between :devil: and :muha:?

I\'d like to suggest that one of them be replaced by a or a :| type smilie if they\'re the same. There\'s also an extra \'space\' in the \'smilie box\' under :rolleyes: and to the right of :sick: so I\'d like to suggest putting a or a :| there if there\'s actually a difference between the evil smilies.

Doc didn\'t want to put ROFL in the smilies box, because it\'s too big lengthwise..would stretch tables.

Also, he left Devil and Muha because..well, we had them both on the last board, and some people used Muha and some Devil. Doc was just being courteous methinks.

Are there any other smiley faces out there? I would like to see some new ones.
