This is the official statement on mojang.
So now we'll have to deal with moar bloated Microcraft and likely ads splattered everywhere. Cause we all know what happened to skype when they got bought by MS, and how much they love ad revenue despite being a multibillion dollar company.
Bonus here for Notch leaving Mojang.
