I be fine, surgery yesterday, tubes out today, go home tomorrow (?). Only problem is can't talk, only whisper. May be traumatized vocal cords. Otherwise, feeling pretty good.

I think Mom might have paid the surgeon a little extra to "traumatize" the vocal chords :0
I had surgery for metastasized thyroid cancer that has been going on for 19 years. 6 total surgeries, 1 goiter removal, 1 thyroid removal, 2 lung removals and 2 other chest removals. Complications this time with heart issues. Atrial fibrillation (rapid heart beat of upper portions of heart) with mine up to 155 bpm. Tried to stabilize but nothing works long term. Let me go home today but need to visit my cardiologist asap. Couple of new meds to keep me safe. Also, vocal cords don't work and may never work again but still better than dead! Other than that, the surgery was a success, removed 2 lymph nodes.
