The tickets information is out. Two batches of 5000 will be sold on March 27 and 28, for the low low price of £129 = ~$US 199!

Never mind, just read the details. Tickets are purchased for individuals. And cannot be resold.
Yes. With the speed at which the tickets sold in the previous years, one could make a killing reselling them... which is why they ask for names in the first place. It's been the same procedure for the last two events that I know of.
The same goes for the capes. Attending Minecon gives you a fancy cape to wear, but you can't simply buy a ticket to get the cape: you need to actually validate your ticket at the entrance to be able to redeem it. If that wasn't the case, you bet that some rich players would just buy one outright.
