Well, Retro Studios has made it offical, in Volume 166 of Nintendo Power and I quote:

Metroid Prime 2 Confirmed

Samus Aran Fans, rejoice. Retro Studios is working on Metroid Prime 2(working title) for GCN. Last year\'s most celebrated game was just a brilliant beginning. A release date hasn\'t been announced yet, but Game Watch will keep you up-to-date as new develops.

So, what are your thoughts? I think Sequel to Metroid Prime would be great! I have no idea though when it will take place in time. Maybe after the events of Meroid Fusion for the GBA. But it is quite uncertain. After all, Metroid Prime 1 took place after Metroid 1 for the NES but before Metroid 2: The Return of Samus for the GB. So we\'ll just have to wait for the future. The future is coming...

Hell yeah! The first one was good, I would imagine the second one would be.

I can\'t wait for this game. I have already beaten the first one with 97%. I still have to finish a little bit more of my Log Book.

I wonder what point in time and what Planet Metroid Prime 2 will take place in?

A sequle already? I\'m not saying it\'s a bad thing but it seems to early for another Metroid game. It might be pretty cool though. I just hope you don\'t lose all your weapons in this one.

I REALLY hope they don\'t cheapen it. Metroid Prime was an awesome game, and I actually found it a lot more fun than Fusion. I\'m just afraid that a sequel this soon is gonna turn out kinda bad, but we\'ll see. ^^;;

Just because a sequel is announced, doesn\'t mean that the game will be on the shelves tomorrow...
