Yeah, but the problem is, my dad never gets me anything, and I don\'t have a job. No money, no movie. Anyone got any episodes saved on their computer?

Oh, I only got 2 things for my b-day, so I\'m not getting anything new soon.....

I have barely heard of the EXE cartoon, and I haven\'t heard of any other ones other than the American MM cartoon, so I\'ll comment on American cartoon here.

I do know that most of the cartoon episodes from seasons 1 and 2 are online and can be seen at

www.protoman.com
. (I hope I didn\'t do anything wrong by posting that site. It looks legit, I\'m pretty sure it is, and I personally blow off copyright laws to stuff that doesn\'t really matter anymore, but I don\'t want to get in trouble.)

Despite the differences between the plot of the games and the plot of the cartoon, the cartoon was pretty good overall. Maybe I\'m thinking that because I saw the cartoon before I discovered the plot of the games, and it\'s rather interesting to see how so many of you who have played the games and THEN seen the show reacted differently from the way I reacted.

I think the animation was quite good. Notable bad ideas were Mega Man\'s arm muscles (not his torso front, though; that actually looked fine and acceptable to me) and most of MMX\'s appearance. But I actually preferred MM\'s appearance here over his appearance in the games or on their boxes/manuals/etc.. Maybe that\'s a consequence of me seeing the cartoon first, but...

I would have been a lot more impressed, though, if they used the stage music of the various non-regular (i.e. not Proto Man, Cut Man, or Guts Man) robot masters during the show. But the music isn\'t bad at all.

I know that Proto Man is actually supposed ot be a good guy, but making him the evil \"brother\" of Mega Man makes for a very nice plot element to work with.

Some voice acting was good (e.g. \"Sizzling circuits! I forgot about Dive Man!\"), but other voice acting was bad (e.g. MM announcing his \"REALLY BIG\" piece of the meteor crystal in the Red Gulch episode). Also, some episodes were rather nice (or \"less painful\", as Mandi Paugh of the MMHP calls them, as I remember), while others were not as well-done. The Curse of the Lion Men wasn\'t as bad as I thought, though, and there were worse moments (e.g. de-evolution of robots in the Robosaur Park episode).

Overall: Quite an interesting show. Not the best, but I enjoy watching it. I used to wake up on Sunday (was it that or Saturday?) mornings enthusiastically awaiting the Mega Man cartoon.

Here are some of my favorite quotes from the show:

Some memorable lines of dialogue from the show:

from \"Electric Nightmares\":

Dr. Light:Now why would anyone bar the outside of the bathroom door? ........OH NO!!!!! (Runs over to get the bar off)

from \"Mega Pinnochio\":

Mega Man: (after him and Rush crash through a sky light)Put him down, or I\'ll recycle you into soda cans!

Rush:Me too! Woof woof!

from \"Curse of the Lion Men\":

Guts Man: (moves a boulder)

Cut Man: (turns on radio)

Guts Man:We found one, Dr. Wily!

Dr. Wily:Ehhh....Is it big enoug?

Cut Man: (looks inside)Maybe for a very small experiment

Dr. Wily:KEEP LOOKING YOU KNIT BOTS!!!!

from \"Mega X\":

Guts Man:We heard the silent alarm Dr. Wily, what gives?

Also, I have the soundtrack to the american cartoon which was released in 1996. There ARE music videos for three of the songs on there (Sugar Ray\'s \"Iron Mic\", Extra Fancy\'s \"Sinnerman\", and Mr. Big\'s \"Take Cover\"). Take Cover was actually a hit (internationally that is). I have seen all three videos. I have the Iron Mic video on Sugar Ray\'s home video:\"No Cerveza, No Trabajo\", I have \"Take Cover\" on my hard drive, and you can see Extra Fancy\'s \"Sinnerman\" at www.launch.com.

How long will my topic stay afloat.

Yes.. it is my topic despite waht it says on the topic list. Read the first post XD

Anyway.. I\'ve got the DVD.. and I have to say it, it was actually worth the outragous price I payed to get it imported and have an Mutli-Region DVD player.
For a kids show, its great, for an adult\'s/saddo teenager (er me)... its just laughable. So stupid that its funny kinda thing.

Some of the eps were.. stupid. \"Master of Maythem\", \"Robosauous Park (UGH!) and of course the \"Lion Episode( waht does that have to do with Megaman!?)\". come to mind as the worst plots, ones that wouldnt even work in Dexters lab. \"Capmus Commandoes\" wasn\'t that bad I suppose. Dumb idea.. but I thought some of the plot devices were good.
Some of the others were not that painful, others were good (Electric Nightmare was good.. if really stupid), some were excellent! (The MegaX episode and The Beginning come to mind. Brillient.)

Would\'ve been better if they\'d kept it to the original idea tho.

Least it wasnt as bad as the Zelda show. *Shudder*
