Dr. Cossack is main Admin for the board. His word is law. He is the sole dictator. HE OWNS YOU! ...Or something.
There\'s always the concept of Doc having individual MODs for a set of Forums or something. o.O

i don\'t like that idea..for instance if a spammer is spamming a certain forum and that forum mod is\'nt there he can keep spamming until doc or the mod gets back.
I have been told that the essence of being Splash Woman is not in attaining perfection, but in the attempt.
If so, then Splash Woman in general does not qualify as, well, human.

Hollow\'s real name is Dr. Holly Goodhead.
I voted for the Dutchman!:D
Either way, as good a job as the Doc\'s doing, we probably need mods for instances like THAT FUCKHEAD DR MET *RAAAWR*
...Anyhow... Yeah. ^^;

I think the best mods are those who...play with the lamers for the entertainment of the board. So very cruel, but you must admit. Truely fun to watch. Hee hee...

I think the ones that survive the torturing are the ones who should stay. If they then change, good. If not...well...

So I'm not going to have anything spectacular in my signature.
PUNK is from the Netherlands... hence he is a dutchman.
Thank you Vash for enlighten the dipstick.
I\'m the token brit of the pack.
I\'m I late...? I didn\'t know people are voting for mods(s). ;^_^
Well, I have bit of experience being a mod for a mailing list (I know it\'s not like running a message board but both deal with members, messages, and spammers). I\'m still a mod there; I wake up every day to check up on messages. Throughout my one year of service, I only banned one spammer, unlisted about five members because they asked to, and got on one person\'s nerves out of 129 members because she was breaking a few rules. The owner of the list is offline quite often so it\'s up to me and another mod (which sometimes come online at night) to keep the place in tip top shape. I take my job seriously and make sure members are having a good time and experience with messaging and sending pictures to other members.
What I\'m trying to say is that I would be proud to take up another mod job on the internet here. I\'ll do my best to get long with everyone but the prejudiced ones. BUT I\'m not saying I\'m the best choice because I don\'t know a few people here and they might have better experience with moding a message board than a mailing list.
Sorry everyone for this to be long and sounding like a job application... ;-_-
Hmm... Now we have someone who wants to mod, AND doesn\'t break the rules so far. Nice
Is anyone else interested in a possible modding position here? I\'m evalutating the possibilities.
The admin formerly known as Dr. Cossack.
Looking for me elsewhere? Maybe look at my Fediverse account for some more-or-less random postings! If you're a gamer, check out my Osmium profile. I'm building that tool!
Hmm... I\'ve had my fair share of modding work, especially for Japanese CG artwork BBs (most of which are now defunct because the Administrator found maintaining the board a daunting task...What a wuss.) Believe me, when you compare this board to the ones I\'ve been to, You people act like saints... All the swearing, obscenities and Hentai-themed hit congrat pics in the old ones... Huff... I\'ve spent a lot of time screening new members and spent even less time banning and/or unlisting them. I\'ve been through Jigoku and back, so to speak...
I\'ve saved some of the more deadly pics they\'ve ever submitted. I\'m not one to ban someone at the drop of a hat, But I can see when a handfull of members are crossing the line...

OH GOD DOC! not yumi! she\'ll ban everyone!.......just joking:lol:...me? i\'ve never been a mod...but i don\'t really care about becoming one...i love this messageboard so just letting me post on it makes me happy....you might wanna consider rush152 or vash....those guys seem very trust worthy.

Actually, you couldn\'t ban anyone if you were a moderator anyways, only an admin can do that.
Anyways, I\'m just hoping you can find a competent mod Doc. The board seems alot different then from when I left, and I don\'t mean that in a good way, unfortunately, sorry. I\'d even offer to help if it did, but I really don\'t think I\'d be a good mod.. So best of luck to you on finding one.

You\'d be surprised, Necro. Some CG BBS actually give some Mods there the responsibility to do that... especially if the Admin rarely shows up. I don\'t think that\'s applicable here though... Anyway, Breakman sounds good enough to help. MODing for something is experience enough, even if it\'s just a mailing list.
A mod moderates... not administrates. If a mod had the power to ban... then they really aren\'t a moderator.
I\'m willing to be a Mod, but only if people think I\'d do well.
I do get into it at times with people with different views, but I try to keep to the rules, and I wouldn\'t go power tripping just because someone disagrees with me. But, the Mod should be someone who is capable of balancing power with their personality, and must be unbiased. They should be able to stay cool in a rough situation, and not use their power unless it\'s truly needed.
The mod, at best, should run some form to the Knight\'s Code of Dragonheart;

Hey I\'m willing and able to do the MOD job as well... this has nothing to do with politics and stuff... If there are significant differences from this board to the others I\'ve been to, then I can easily adjust. I can be firm, but I\'m very easy to talk to, actually. I rarely get into fights with people, and this type of MODing gives me a far lighter responsibility compared to the last ones I\'ve held. It\'ll actually be refreshing not to play Keisatsu to Dorobo with volatile members: Just report them when they commit several infractions after umpteen warnings and leave it up to the Doc to decide... IMHO, I think I can handle it. I\'ll work to the best of my ability to balance my views in life to be fair to ALL...
*Post redacted*
My mod status at the mailing list was you could do anything but delete, move, change the status of any member, or rename the list.
I don\'t care who Doctor Cossack picks because there\'s always the Oekaki Board \"election\".
...
I agree with Necro, Doc. This place needs a mod that\'s not as soft as you are. Not that he said that.. o.o
The only people that I\'ve seen moderating things are Rodrigo, XPrime, myself, PUNK, Vash, and lots of other people but they don\'t post here. My choice overall would be Rodrigo..he\'s not biased, he\'s calm in all situations, he gives common sense to fools who are fighting..stuff like that. But he doesn\'t come here much at all..blah.
Second choice would be XPrime. He usually keeps things in order NOWADAYS. Heh.. And if he doesn\'t get the option to ban people..that\'ll be good. He\'s a very organized admin at his own board.. *pats him on the head*
Infact, any of us would be a good choice. We all have a good head on our shoulders. o.o Nova or Kia or HJ would be good choices as well. They\'ve all experienced Met..and survived. Breakman sounds like a good choice as well.
I\'ll stop rambling. I just want a mod that will lay the smackdown on spammers and MegaWes\' dumbass topics in the Legends forum... Then I\'ll actually come back here.
ED: And about the mods banning people.. Super Moderators at XP\'s board have the power to ban for..48 hours, is it? If they give the user 3 warnings.. It\'s actually helped in a few situations when there weren\'t any admins around.
