Because they show all the robots faces and since megaman is a robot he should be on their right?

They put it there in place of the Wily Sign. In MM2 the Wily sign was there, but you could not select it at the start, something which might of confused players. So they put Megaman\'s mugshot in it so you didn\'t know what was coming (Whether it was Wily or another enemy or something). Or something like that.

But theres some dumb things in Megaman games invovling stage selects, for example X3 has an \"X\" selection, which in the beta might of led to Hunter HQ, but was canned in the final version and now does nothing.
Just a thought.

There was a good thing in MM3, though, with MM\'s head. As the cuser moves, MM\'s eyes moved with it and it looked like he was lookiing at the Robot Masters.

Yup, a nice feature missing from the next load of MM games.

You can\'t choose Mega Man on Robot Select screens because he isn\'t a Boss. If you could Select him, it would probably just take you to Dr. Light\'s lab for whatever reason. Maybe to buy parts with collected bolts? Of course, bolts weren\'t in the NES games.

It\'s only up until you beat all 8 of the Robot Masters that you can select the middle space AKA the Mega Man space. However, it changes it\'s icon to something else I.E, Dr Wily, Breakman, Protoman, Mr. X extra. (No, really?)

In Mega Man 7, you can press Select at the Robot Select screen anytime and go to Auto\'s Shop. But that\'s different. >.>

Because it resembles the player who is being Megaman, what else would it be? I think Capcom should remake all the classic series and add something like in Megaman 8 to go into Dr. Lights lab, the new weapon arming scenario is sort of representing that, if they did that you could choose and activate a motif into him.
