Which name do you like better?

I like Megaman. It sounds more like a super hero\'s name and besides Rockman sounds like a robot that Wily would build.

I prefere neither. I like to spell it as Mega Man the best.

Megaman, in all occasions except for the Legends series, just becuase Rockman Dash sounds cool!:D

I understand why he\'s called Rockman (Rock, Paper, Scissors, getit?), and the simple fact his real name is Rock, and in many cases the name REALLY sounds cool. (Rockman Zero, Rockman and Forte, Rockman to the Future. - Megaman in those places sound bad.) but being used to his American name, makes you like it more.

The only reason he\'s still Rockman in Japan is because Megaman sounds bad in Japanease.

I watched the anime for Rockman.exe and the name stuck when the characters said it.

The music was a much much better in the japanese version than in Megaman NT Warrior.

I don\'t give a damn if his original name is Rockman. Its Mega to me.

I think its got something to do with my inner child. When I was a kid it was always \"Megaman\". I did\'nt find out about his original name until much later.

I\'m going with Rockman, but Mega Man is also okay. Not even Keiji Inafune likes the name Mega Man.

Because, Rock is..his name, right? So..lets say I was built as a robot, to work around the house. My creator names me Clifford (naturally). I become a \'fighting robot\' later on....so he decides to call me..Clifford Man? What the hell?

That\'s essientially what Rockman sounds like to me. It sounds as stupid as Jeffman, or Billman, or Stevenman, or Barneyman. So I much prefer him to be Megaman, when he\'s out fighting Wily.

Rockman sounds like a pretty cool name. It also preserves the pun \"Rock and Roll\" in his new name (after he was supposedly rebuilt from a household robot into a warrior robot).

But Mega Man (with the space and that capitalization) is the name I\'m more familiar with. I went with that one. Plus, it matches with the naming of the other robot masters, in that all of their names are \"[insert some random capitalized word here] Man\". Well, of course, they could have picked Ultima Man, Giga Man, Tera Man, Ultra Man (oops--that\'s already used), Super Man (well that\'s already used too), or something like that, but Mega Man has that twin-letter-initial property to it, that makes the abbreviation cooler than that of Rockman or any other [whatever] Man.

I prefer Megaman, because it avoids the stupid music pun that the main charecter nameing has, lets see here

protoman-bues (hmmm)
bass(pun anyway)-forte(for those of you that don\'t know, it means loud for playing volume)
treble(once again still a pun)- piano(an intrument and it mean soft for plating volume)

i like megaman, rockman was good but i dont think i would buy a rockman game, but megaman is a more catching tilte and name

I got to agree with you Megaman is better than Rockman,and I remember when Megaman was first introduced to me.I was only 4 at the time so I didnt do much but kill myself all the time.
