Capcom today takes players on a retrospective journey through the evolution of their renowned blue action hero with the announcement of the Mega Man Anniversary Collection, a compilation of Mega Man titles for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system and the Nintendo GameCube. Featuring hours of endless entertainment, the Mega Man Anniversary Collection is an anthology of classic Mega Man games (Mega Man 1 through Mega Man 8) from the Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Game Boy, PlayStation game console and arcade systems. This set will also include two never-before-released-in-the-US Mega Man arcade games: Mega Man the Power Battle and Mega Man 2 the Power Fighters. The Mega Man Anniversary Collection is scheduled to release throughout North America in February 2004. The ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) rating is pending.

You never know, Make; Megaman X6 wasn\'t dubbed, so it\'s possible that future games won\'t be too.

It\'s a shame that Battle and Chase isn\'t a part of this collection. I\'ve always wanted to try that one.

What I\'m really hoping for, which I know is not the case, for complete remakes of MM1-6, done in Megaman 8 style graphics. Though I doubt this is the case, I just hope they at least use the already remade 1-6 they released awhile back for this collection. And yes, that Rockman racing game should have been included. And Megaman V for the Gameboy should be there to. It\'s one of my favorite MM games since it strayed from the standard boss formula and the plot was terrific. Characters like Terra and Sunstar are priceless and should not be forgotten.:D

That \"Rockman Racing Game\", WAS released in English, probably because I\'ve ordered it!

This Collection is a really smart move by Capcom.
It means i\'ll legally own Megaman 1 to 7, and be able to play Megaman 8 for the first time!

They won\'t be doing that. They\'ll be using the graphics from the original games.

Are you saying that it will be 8-bit graphics for MM1-6, 16-bit for 7 and 32 for 8?:D I hope so!

Why would they change them?
Too much work for Capcom, they\'ll just upset the fans if they change the graphics anyway.

I\'ve seen this article for ahwile now and I think this is so awsome. But I was wondering about that too, as far as if they were to update the graphics of megaman 1-6. Kind of like how they did that in Megaman : Wily Wars for Sega. And yes I hope they get better voices for megaman 8 (especially for Duo and Dr. Light >< ). Some of them were funny though while others were annoying. But anyways, I totally buying this game.

ahh, the power of nostalgia. we have come so far, and people are still excited about the realease of old, 8-bit games. not that that\'s a bad thing, i think it\'s awsome!

Question though...

If there will be remix music/new music *forgot which one it was*; did they say the new music will only be for Megaman 8 or for all megaman games? >_>

All games, it states all games.
What they will probably use is the Complete Works/ Power Fighters & Power Battles music for the remixs.
