Religious stuff always go into arguments I recomend you stop talking about religion and talk about something else. Some people don\'t believe in God you believe in and what right do you have to change it?

Anyways, just think about it. God is not our tyrant. he is our master. He could hurt us, but he doesn\'t because he is merciful.

He doesn\'t hurt us by putting us on Earth and making us go through pain and loss? Kids born with abnormalities, kids with cancer, people with lifelong diseases, people born blind and deaf.. Yeah, doesn\'t seem like hurt at all.

They even call hurricanes and typhoons and earthquakes \'wrath of God\' sometimes. He must like killing people for fun.

But anyways, it\'s pretty worthless to try and make people \'join\' you\'re religion. So don\'t try to force folks into it, won\'t be pretty. (Not talking to you, Mega X, I don\'t see you forcing people)

And one more thing..what about the mentally handicapped? They wouldn\'t understand who or what God was, depending on their ability. Guess they\'re going to hell too.

Not forcing, just explaining. Adam and Eve sinned, so as punishment, God allowed suffering into the world. As for that last part, I don\'t think the Bible directly addresses that.

If he enjoyed killing people, why would he bother trying to help us all? Things happen, but it won\'t help to blame him.

So does that mean that the problems that are caused are beyond God\'s hands then?

No, he allows them to happen.

He could stop them all if he wanted, but if we had nothing to fear, we would have no motivation.

Why must we have fear to motivate us? Why not happiness? Why not relaxation? I believe fear holds you back rather than fuels your actions.

God could stop them, but he already gave us life and a chance at life eternal. Isn\'t it only fair that we have a few trials?

I mean come on. Life can\'t be all good. However, if we face these trials without cursing god or sinning our way out, there will be great rewards in the end.

We all have trials. Who can explain God perfectly? We can know God, but explaining him is so difficult because he is unimaginable.

Well, we all live a life to live and die. And after billion billion years, this universe will start all over again (once the sun gets older and bigger, it will suck up the world and everything and soon it will blow up destroying this universe. Then one day, an adam (sp?) with blow up and everything will start again... I guess...). Also, is there any proof of Jesus being the son of Allah?

Allah? No, Jesus is the son of God. Allah isn\'t the same thing.

Muslims are the ones who believe in Allah. And while I\'m not 100% sure, according to muslims, Allah is actually the same thing as the christian god. Again, I\'m not 100% sure, but I remember reading something like this last year.

I think i remember doing a project and writing that the muslim and the christian religions have the same god \"the god of Abraham (being a prophet to both religions) The only difference is that Jesus is the son of God only in christianity, as far as Islam goes I don\'t think that Allah had a known son....

Your right. I\'m a Muslim and I know (As you know, kids at my school don\'t like me for that and the fact that I am from the Middle East... geez.... Kids these days, they\'re just like n00bs these days.... Anyways, we don\'t beleave that Jesus is son of god. Why, there isn\'t any proof. I mean, Jesus\'s mother could have been with a guy, but she never said it. You just don\'t know. But how could Jesus be son of god? I mean, maybe god knew that he would be a messenger so god just sent him (Hey, it\'s an thought). But there is no way god would come and have a child then leave. God made this world for us so we would live and have a life and then die. Anyways, thats what I think...

Well, he said he was his son. If that isn\'t proof enough, I don\'t know what is. In the Bible, Jesus went to get baptized by John the Baptist. When he was baptized, God said: \"This is My beloved son in whom I am well pleased.\" The Bible doesn\'t lie.

Maybe the bible doesn\'t lie, but people do. And guess what? People wrote the bible. How do we know everything in there was exactly what Jesus said? I mean if you guys ever watched Dogma you would understand where I\'m coming from.

Maybe it is a trial? To see who truly understands the purpose? Not like people who follow under blind faith (not reffering to anyone just pointing out what I have seen).

Blind faith? That would be something God wants. If we humans are imperfect, why would he want us to rely on ourselves instead of him?

So he said that he was son of god? But wouldn\'t we all be son of god? I mean, god gave us life like our parents. Besides, wouldn\'t all the messangers know? There was about 100,020 or something messengers of god, but only 5 got to get a book (For example: Jesus\'s book was the bible). And who would god say Jesus was the only one? Would god choose Jesus out of 100,020 people? Wouldn\'t all the messengers be son of god? Still no proof of Jesus being son of god.

Fun Fact: All messengers could hear god. God chose 100,020 I think, but he stoped in the in the 700\'s (year 700, for those who don\'t understand what I said).

God didn\'t choose Jesus out of everyone. He sent Jesus down to Earth. We are all children of God, but we are more of adoptive children. The Bible says that we will be joint heirs with Jesus Christ.

To Rinder: God wants us to rely on him all the time.

How can we be adopted if god made us? And what about the other messengers? Did he just send them down to earth? Just because you guys worship Jesus doesn\'t mean he\'s the best messenger of all of them. He is also one, and a good one indeed, but there are also other great messengers just as great as he was.

For one thing, we don\'t have any down-to-earth, sure-fire facts. I think this is a test of belief. Everyone knows that just because you can\'t see something, that doesn\'t mean it can\'t exist. Why, no one could have any religion at all!

Except maybe the olden Greeks. But that\'s not important. What is important is that God can still exist and Jesus can still be His son. We just have to have faith in Him. We may never be proven correct. I belive one day, someone, possibly the anti-christ, may almost positively disprove Jesus. What is important is that we maintain our faith, even faced with these trials.

Whew. This philosophy stuff is hard work.
