You bet I have. I\'m trying to write a very long story right now. It might qualify as a chapter-book, but definately won\'t be a novel. It\'s called \"Reconsider They Said\". The waste product of watching too much Hack./Sign. That show makes you think too hard.:eek:

It\'s about a virtual world called Creation\'s Enigma. A group of characters meet up and have a wonderous journey, which ends in a cataclysmic conclusion. I would tell you, but I\'m afraid my brother will see it. It\'s supposed to be a surprise.;D

Yes, I do write fan-fiction too. It\'s fun to write, because you can keep great anime and games alive by continuing the plot in your own way.

I alo thought of writing one about the Megaman series. About the creation of Zero & X, the elimination of the original cast (minus Light and Auto) the sealing of both, the virus, Sigma, and the Mavericks. It covers the gap between TOS and the X series and goes up until MMZ2

Too tell the truth...I just got done writing a 3-page auto-biography for english. Its full of grim humor and Norm Scot inspired antics, but it tends to stick to truth. (Really)

Second reason, fanfic authors usually think too highly of themselves and their writing ability. Sorry to use you as an example, Mega X, but you decided to do a fanfic for my favorite videogame of all time.

See, Mega X is going to \"novelize\" Chrono Trigger. Which might turn out good, we won\'t know. But lets say...a person with a fondness for Magus wrote this novelization. It will mostly focus on Magus..will add extra lines he never said in the game, will give him extra mannerisms, will give him more of a personality, will give him a fanmade love interest, and it goes downhill from there.

The fanfics that bother me most are the ones revolving around love or some such. Like X and Alia fanfics. All of those are just usually done by drooling fanboys that want to see romance in the X games or some stupid shit.

Anyways, bottom line. Want to be taken seriously in your storywriting? Make your own characters. Make a wonderful storyline for them. Build on it. Then you won\'t be a lazy hack.

The problem with fanfics is that so few of them have good topics. The authors just find it to be a fun way to cram mature content into a good series often times.

I remember the worst fanfic I ever read. This horrbile plotless piece of junk about WarGreyman beating up MetalGarurumon.
