Well I just want to know what kind of nightmares (if any) you guys get. I haven\'t looked at through the archives and I can only hope that this forum topic hasn\'t been mentioned before but looking at the recent chit-chat topics, I wouldn\'t be surprised if there was one.

Anyways, back to the topic. I don\'t usually have nightmares but I get them every night when I\'m sick with a fever/headache.

I\'m in this world where everything is exaggerated and the smallest things require planning, meetings, negotiations to complete and if something should go wrong the world collapses and just total chaos breaks out.
It\'s very difficult to explain but sometimes when I wake up, that feeling of burden still lingers and I am hit with all these thoughts like \"what happens when I die?\" and \"what do I do if there was suddenly no more water?\" (or something to that extent)

That\'s the part that scares me
I can sort of imagine the feeling but I can\'t duplicate it. I only get it after a fever nightmare.

mine just happen.. one night a good one, next nightmare. meh.and i usually get them when im alone. i always need some type of sound going... dont know why.

I usally get them when I\'m the last one to go to sleep...I guess its one of those, When you\'re alone and in the dark you scared kinda things I guess...
Most of the time I don\'t even dream...
But when I get nighmares they\'re pretty messed up and weird...
All kinds of things happening that are abnormal, people tossing legos at me one time at the beach...

Well, yes. dreams ARE messed up. I had a nightmare that I was in a graveyard on the bus. It was driving through and was choping the tops off every grave in it\'s way. We got to a shack, and we all went inside. We were almost out, and I heard a scream. I went back, and a freakin\' wallmaster grabbed me! (from Zelda) Yeah, pretty creepy!:lol:

My nightmare:

~The place was inside a dark, dark skyscraper ~
Me: Where am I?
Me: AHHHHHHHHHH!
.: Sees all these corpses all around and sees murdering ghosts (Jason, Freddy, Bloody Mary, ETC.):.

Then suddenly, the ghosts killed me. tooooooooooo gorey to explain!!

Stupid horror movies! I love to watch them, but when I do, I think about it a lot, and boom! They are in my dreams... Last time I saw The Texas Chainsaw Massacur (sp?) (Both old version and new version), I got way to many nightmares. I didn\'t want to sleep for weeks. I also wanted to know more about the story (I was going crazy), and I looked up a lot of info about what it was based on, and I got even worse. More, more, and more nightmares. So yeah, scary movies give me nightmares.

I haven\'t even dreamed for like years. I used to have uber scarey nightmares though. But they were fun because i could wake myself up if i wanted so it was like the scariest movie possible designed just for me!

I usually don\'t have nightmares so much as I have really farked-up dreams. Like this one time where I dreamt the gateway to Hell was in the bathtub in my mom\'s bathroom. In the dream, I was damned to Hell (i.e. the tub), and I was standing outside the tub with some friends who were also banished. As we\'re discussing what we\'re going to do about all this, an axe flies up from the bathing vat of Satan and stabs my friend in the head while a booming voice yells, \"YOU SHALL DIE BECAUSE YOU DO NOT OWN GAUNTLET LEGENDS.\"

...Yeeeeeah. Crazy shiet.

My nightmares get pretty weird. I\'ve driven buses of cliffs, ran from a corrupted cousin, been trapped in a virtual neon world which I was half awake at the time and had mobility, making it more realistic and freaking me out even more (now the idea of having mobility while half-awake in a virutal world seems cool.)!

Oh and by the way, whoever said dreams can\'t hurt you lied! I\'ve felt pain in my dreams! It\'s normally just a little bit of pain.

Actually, scientifically, dreams don\'t make you hurt, but pain you feel in reality will relate into a dream you\'re having. Sounds are the same way; if you, say, go to sleep with the radio on, the music from the radio may be heard in your dream, yet not necessarily through a radio (in your dream, that is). Catch me?

This is something a little scary (for me).

There was this one time where I was dreaming about a TV show or something (I forget because it was a really long time ago). While I was watching the show, I stopped breathing. I didn\'t know why and I got scared. The channel changed and I still couldn\'t breathe. The channels started to change more rapidly and I was starting to panic because I was starting to suffocate. Suddenly I woke up and found that I had rolled over with my face down on the pillow. I nearly died that night.

In my life I\'ve had two near death experiences and that\'s the less interesting of the two.

i have a window phobia at night..... i hate windows at night and it just sucks more when theres no curtains....... in my old house i use to have 3 big 5 by 6\' windows and my nieghbor and my dad would sneek up on my while i was watcdhing tv at night

wow gutterMouth I can feel for ya. I used to play the original Alone In The Dark and this weird thing would jump through the windows and try to kill you. I had nightmares with that little red freak in it. I wouldn\'t go into the hallway at night for a while because of the bay window.

Yeah....well, I have had a particular nightmare.

I\'m wandering about in a hall way adorned like some ancient culture, only futuristic.

My vision is heavily obscured, like....weighted down. I can\'t see clearly. I\'m just wondering about aimlessly, trying to blink away this ...heaviness.


Well, That\'s just about it. That\'s the only nightmare I get...and it normally happens when something bad is about to happen.

Please don\'t change your name on account of me. You don\'t have to think of it as \'bay sex\'. You can think of it as \'base x\'. Like the name of some secret compound where they conduct government experiments and make robots. How does that sound?

...And of course, by that you mean to say \'leprechauns\'. I don\'t know what\'s so scary about little bearded men in green suits.

Worst case scenario: they bite you in the shin. I don\'t think leprechaunism is transmitted this way but you could probably beat them to death with a solid hockey stick and steal their lucky charms (not to mention their pots of gold).
