Ohh nice, you reached the 900 post mark with that last one. I remember on this board where I wasn\'t too happy being on I reached 666 posts and then stopped posting after that.

Ok, getting back on topic...

You can\'t pass insanity onto your children. You only pass half your genes to them and your genes aren\'t altered during your lifetime (excluding strange cases involving radiation). You can change your PHENOTYPE, which is really just a $10 word for the ways your genes are expressed physically, which is what I believe you\'re referring to when you say \"people who pretended to be sick to get attention and then began to believe it themselves and actually GOT sick\"

I don\'t understand how philosophy comes into play here but yes, I believe that all will be cleared when Kei arrives. To my understanding, we don\'t understand the human brain. A random series of electrical impulses and chemical reactions take place and suddenly we have conscious thought and rationality. What if the charge on the impulse was off by a few millivolts (or whatever you measure impulses by)? What if a random molecule of hydrogen detached from an essential chemical in your brain? This is what we would call insanity. Because they don\'t conform to the norm or match the rest of the world, they are insane. I find the human brain facinating (and delicious) since we only use 10% of it and there are so many problems that arise from that 10%. What would the world be like if we used it all? That would be insane.

As for the second part of your post... I talk to myself sometimes. I\'ll answer my own questions, act out (verbally) possible scenarios of how certain events will take place and such. Does that make me crazy? Probably. Does that make me different? Likely. What was the point I was trying to make? I forget.

Dude, everyone has problems. I see it everyday. My school has evolved into a doctors office!:conf: Really. You won\'t beleive how many kids take medicine at lunch. I don\'t, and I\'m pretty screwed up, just like WindRider. I have ADD, ADHD, the whole nine yards. I take a total of 6 diffrent pills a day!:D Yay, the Dr. thinks I\'m good! My mom on the other hand, each time she takes meds, (4 times a day) she takes a whole freakin\' handful of them! Well, I takee Welbutren. Thats not all, buts it\'s the only pill I KNOW the name of that I take!:rolleyes: There are people at my school that I think NEEDS that handful of pills, just to calm down! But, that\'s just my oppinion. Variable, correct me if i\'m wrong.....

Craziness still is around, yeah. But I think it\'s umm..not taken seriously nowadays. Since there\'s little brats around that just want attention and will do anything to get it.

I cut my wrists, I\'m a goth, I want to die but yet I\'ll live and mope in your house for an eternity. I listen to Avril Lavigne and roleplay as a vampire with plastic fangs and a trashbag as a cape. I\'m bisexual or homosexual because that\'s just so darn cool. I want to be on American Idol or Survivor. I\'m only a 12 year old girl but I want to dress like a slut. I have a wonderful life but Linkin Park has told me otherwise. I\'m going to kill my schoolmates because they make fun of the way I dress. My mother didn\'t get me enough christmas presents, I hate her. I\'m going to be irresponsible and get pregnant when I\'m 15. Anime characters are real and they live in my head duhurhur.

That kind of bullshit is what\'s wrong with \'society\'. Kids are raising themselves, parents aren\'t being parents. Kids learn everything from television and movies. I thought the 90s were bad.

Insanity is a real issue, but dumbass little posers are detracting from the real problems. And oh, Mister Rogers rocks, bitch.

I have to agree with HollowTorment. There are too many people out there that are either

A) without disorder, but pretend otherwise.
with disorder and treat it like a bragging right.

That brings me to my next point: religion. Now, it\'s a very debatable and controversial subject, but, for the most part, these people (Yeah, I\'m being stereotypical and writing off an entire group like this. Don\'t like it? Eat me.) don\'t see the point. They switch it around as often as the seasons change, from the stereotypical Satanism to Wiccan to just plain Aethiism (even though most of the self-proclaimed Aethiists talk about how much God is stupid. News flash: If you\'re saying something is stupid, you\'re acknowledging it exists. Asshat. That\'s actually pretty funny, because most of \"these people\" pretend to be passionate about their religion (or lack thereof).)

And what\'s funny is how these people go on to threaten suicide. Yeah. Are we supposed to care? You get pissed if we berate what makes you happy, THEN you go on to say suicide would make you happy, and then you act like we should stop you (despite the fact that would be blatantly denying what allegedly makes you happy). Well, I wouldn\'t want to be one to deny you happiness, so I think I\'ll support your decision to end your life. Hell, I\'ll tie the noose for you if you want. What? Don\'t want me to? Too late. Now get in the garage and give me a rope, bitch.

Well, as fun as this ranting is, I think I\'ll give it a rest. I know I went off on a huge tangent, and I apologize. I\'m also sorry for the profanity I used, but hey, it\'s not like it killed anyone.

Eh, I know when society went awry. It was when Adam ate God\'s forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. He sinned. We have continued to poison our children throught the media and even our own actions. I wish I could reform the media sometimes, because it is so corrupt. That is what\'s killing morrality. People become illiterate, dumb, or immoral because the children use these horrible people in the media as role models. You can\'t just overlook craziness. \"Oh, I chopped up some guy 3 days ago. I still have the leftovers. Want some?\". Crazinessm is another result of the corrupt media, which encourages craziness. I despise it. You don\'t need to be eveil to be cool. Even if you don\'t want to be a saint, why be evil? Why defy common sense? The answer: because the corrupt media is telling you. Break away from all that! I\'m telling you, we don\'t need to be evil to have a good time. You don\'t have to be the guy in the Edgar Allen Poe\'s \"The Tell-Tale Heart\" to be cool. If you do feel like you seriously have to eat/mutilate/chop up someone to be cool, you have been corrupted. And if you have been corrupted, please change, before you become a menace to society like so many around you.

Society isn\'t the real world and those who think it is need to come back this world (the real one). Talking of worlds, why do I get the same reponse when I tell everyone that I really am a jedi? I learned from the best! I\'m just under Leia in the council! I even proved it today in science by opening and closing the door with the Force. Two people kept getting up and closing the door, but I kept opening it!

Just because I was soooooo bored in school, the teachers wanted to declare me ADD or ADHD. They should have added more challenging lessons instead of whining about me not paying attention. Feh.

Maybe an answer to your question, Windrider~, is that I believe we live in rather more \'self-contained\' times. Here in Western society, we have a general expectation of others\' behaviour. The majority of young adults and teens are becoming rather more mature, in comparison to those of perhaps past decades and eras.

However, if it appeases you, insanity and craziness are two things that shall always have a presence in society; It is an untangible, and not something we could simply eradicate from humanity.
I would be so bold as to say it would remain until our human exsistance ceases.
