I\'m not all to sure if this is just for me, but every other post I make gets me kicked off-line.

As of right now, I have NO idea if it\'s the board doing this or my crapy internet provider. Curse you AOL...

I intend to get a new Broad Band modem some time soon...but in the mean time, is anybody else having this problem? Aol users especially...

Guess I\'ll put my 2 cents in.
AOL is complete and utter crap. The only thing they did right was AIM.

But seriously, here\'s what I say (thanks for getting me started Wind:lol: ):

Check your process list
If you\'re running something on the NT core (Win2K or XP) click here to see what services you need running.

For All Windows, go here http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary
This site lists what\'s system, virus or otherwise, categorized as such.

Stuff to use:
Spyware scanners:
Ad-Aware
Spybot

Firewall
Free full time virus scanner

That should about do it...see my site\'s board should you need anything else.

Anyway, I\'d blame it on a messed up internet connection...AOL loves to kick people offline...especially when doing things too fast. And yes, AOL hates all. Except advertisers, don\'t forget that:lol:

It\'d be cool if AOL just up and died one day. No AOL = vast majority of lamers gone from internet.

I wanted to get Yahoo SBC, but later was told by a friend that it too, would hate me.

It could be that you have too much running at once, LIke WindRider~ said.

When I graze here, I have AIM running, talking to the Masochist, but every so often, my comp freezes up, and I get the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH...which sucks.

Then I have to restart.

Try closing out those useless games of solitaire while you\'re waiting to download pirated music, and maybe, you won\'t get stuck.

*cough* Did I say piracy? Could have sword I said ..umm...patrioticy...is that a word?

I have that an it doesn\'t cause me any problems (course I\'m using the DSL side) And BTW, you DON\'t have to use their browser or anything...the only thing you need is Enternet from their CD (With WinXP, you don\'t even need that, just add the connection)

As a side note... Here\'s a BSOD screensaver...it\'s as close to a replica as you\'re gonna get. And it\'s free:D

I use AOL... it crashes everytime I want to use the BB Code without typing it down. Meaning... If I click the icons instead of typing [b] it would die.

So now I have to type the BB Code by hand. Not a biggie but still a pain somewhat. AOL is evil. (Not just free trial but even if you pay for it <_<)

Erm... If your thinking of switching to broadband, my input is that I\'ve got Time Warner Roadrunner high-speed broadband now and it works great! Very fast and easy to use.

AOL is MOSTLY for people who don\'t know how to use the internet! Just type in the keywords and you go there.
People need to get off their lazy butt and learn to type www. and .com.

hehehe...he. I had AOL for a loooong time, and it only did one thing good for me: it gave me my e-mail. I was too young and socially inept to be able to use AIM, so my whole life became devoted to finding better technology than that pile of trash, most of which was in video games. end result: i am a socially inept video game fanatic. AOL has scarred me for life. on a side note, do you think the WWW from Megaman Battle Network is a codename for AOL?

Now here\'s something funny. My grandpa has AOL, and to prove how much it sucks, I got on IRC applet and asked Sage to ping me:

By the way. AOL owns just about everything. One day you\'ll be playing your GameBoy DS or whatever and you\'ll see SEGA, and at the bottom it\'ll say \"Owned by AOL\".

As an example, I recall AOL owning TimeWarner.

Actually, I think TimeWarner bought AOL before AOL got really big..
