I try too but I don\'t upload my drawings (I don\'t have access to a scanner). If ever I get my hands on a scanner, I\'m uploading Metroidman and possibly my unfinished mmbn comic.

I think the term you were looking for was artist. Drawers are what I keep my underwear in.

If you were to show people on this board sketches you\'ve done, do you expect praise or honesty?

On that note, if I don\'t give an honest reply to save someone\'s feelings, is that right or wrong?

hmm... no, I won\'t coment, I allways end up sying somethin I regret no matter the qualety.

But I do have some tips however. I can see you mave trouble with form, it is very simple, you draw the line and continue down the path untill you miss the target. Most people do this (I\'m just stating what my art teacher said)

You could try to do the sircle training, you simply devide your drawing into sircles and make the character ontop of it. I am not sying you shoud listen to me... I am just giving advice....

So you don\'t expect praise... Do you at least want an honest opinion or do you believe in the philosophy of \"If you have nothing good to say, don\'t say anything at all\"?

My art teacher gave me great advice. Depends on who your working with.

My advice is to take time to study your artwork. Perhaps, establish a lighting point so you can do shading or shine. And the anatomy of the hand is ALWAYS important. I\'ve learned that many a time.

They\'re really not bad. I suggest you take time to sit down and study the characters you are drawing a little longer though. It works for my brother.:D

Well, might as well keep on with the uhh..numbered lists.

1. You need a steadier hand. Lines are supposed to be lines, not zigzags.

2. Your drawings would look alot better on unlined paper.

3. Toad is actually not that tall.. And he doesn\'t have legs, just feet sticking out from his mushroomy body.

You could also add shines in his eyes, if you wanted. And well, in order to make his coat thing look abit better, you should try to make it look like he\'s wearing it..not like it\'s an extension of his body.

We all start somewhere though, and if you\'ve got the determination, you\'ll get better in art.

Oh, and some advice. Don\'t let praise get to your head..and take criticism as a good thing that helps, not hinders. Because that\'s just what folks are trying to do, help you.

The best advice any teacher has ever given to me is this:



Meaning a bad artist don\'t take critizism and has or wants no room for improovement, though it means a lot more if you think about it.

Yeah, my suggestions would be to just color \'em like mad. Even though 95.4 % of the time jack the whole picture up if I colorify it. Buuuut that\'s just me.

Shading\'s easy. One style of doing it just making an uneven gradient with more light then dark. A gradient is one color going to the next. Say you wanna color something blue. You just color one part as hard as humanly possible then getting lighter and lighter by pressing lighter and lighter. Hope that helps... ~_o

uhhhhhhhhhh well if you showed me it then i could tell it was toad.... ahhh i dont know.....practice doesnt make perfect it makes better ( as my 4th grade teacher use to say) what i suggest to get better is try looking at a professionally drawn picture of toad then try and copy it. do it a couple times and then soon youll be so good at it you dont need to see the picture anymore well thats what i do.

like sora from kingdom hearts i use to suck so much you wouldnt believe and now i can draw him so perfect ( yes im braging) that i could sell it.
