In the past few weeks, I\'ve been working on following more the different web standards, and taught myself how to do designs in XHTML and CSS. As a practice, I converted the front page of Interordi.com in pure XHTML + CSS. The point was to have the page to look about the same, but written in a different (and more modern) structure. As an extra, the new page validates properly according to the W3C specs
What I need are some people to look at the new page, and compare it with the current one to see if their browser shows any difference. I\'ve copied the front page as a reference and removed the counter to avoid messing with the stats (I did a lot of reloads for tests).
Reference page (HTML 4)
Test page (XHTML + CSS)
I would appreciate it if everyone could take a few minutes to compare the two pages and report if they noticed any big differences. Some text alignment and spacing is off by a few pixels, and I\'m aware of that. What I want to know about are any big display differences that your browser does between the pages (there shouldn\'t be anything).
No matter if you see changes or not, please tell me your browser name and version, along with your operating name and version so I can see if there\'s any issue that I should take care off. If you see something that doesn\'t look right, having a screenshot could be useful.
The new page is not supposed to take over soon, I\'m only running tests for the time being.
Thanks!
