Sorry if this topic is useless, but I dont know a thing about the storylines for x1-x7. If someone could tell me and how it got into the zero series, that would be awsome. My friend has all of them (x1-x7), and he only told me of how zero came to be up to x6. That\'s it...

Somewhere between MM8 and X1 something kills everybody. Before he died, Wily and Light sealed Zero and X away to destroy each other in the future. Fast forward 100 years. X awakens, Cain replicates him to make Reploids. Zero awakens. Sigma fights Zero. Due to extenuating circumstances Sigma wins and thusly gets infected with the virus. Turning him Maverick. I\'ll post more later that gets into the finer details.

So far interesting...

X game\'s storylines?
Piece of cake:

Megaman X:
Sigma starts rebellion, X and Zero go off to stop it.
Zero dies.

Megaman X2:
X-Hunters gather up Zero\'s parts and ressurect him, and also ressurect Sigma.

Megaman Xtreme:
Hackers break into world mother computer.
X stops them. Zero isn\'t given a chance to die.

Megaman X3:
Reploid scientist Dr Doppler goes Maverick, and takes a city that was built for him, with him. Zero gets badly hurt.

Megaman Xtreme 2:
\"Soul Erasures\" erasing Reploids, and bringing back Mavericks.
X and Zero stop them.

Megaman X4:
Sigma tricks Repliforce Army into starting a \"Coop\" (Zero\'s words), and X and Zero stop them.
Zero has nightmares about Dr Wily.

Megaman X5:
Sigma makes Space Colonel fill with Virus head to earth.
Zero dies.

Megaman X6:
Nightmare virus destroying earth, plus Zero Nightmare attacking people.
Zero brought back to life, only to go into Status pod.

Megaman X7:
Zero somehow gets out of Status Pod, finds young reploid Axl, while X decides he doesn\'t want to fight, and wimps out.
Bounty Hunters, Red Alert want Axl back, war starts. (Again.)
Zero doesn\'t die, but he sucks in this game anyway.

Megaman X8:
No idea, but I\'m guessing Zero\'s gonna die.
Again.


There you have it, short versions of the Megaman X stories.

That\'s pretty cool. I remember hearing that zero had locked himself in a capsule of some sort to get rid of the only traces of the sigma virus that was in him. That is how the Zero series began... is that true?

I\'m gonna give my view on the story

X1

Sigma now infected by the Zero virus infects other Reploids with his dilluted version. X kills him, Zero dies.

X2

1.X-Hunters rebuild Zero and brainwash him, you fight him and win, he goes back to normal. X kills Sigma

2. Cain rebuilds Zero. Sigma builds copy that Zero kills in 1-hit

X3. Dr. Doppler makes a \"vaccine\" despite being infected, he sacrifices his life to deliver the real antidote to Sigma.

X4. Sigma lives, tricks Repliforce into rebelling and leaving earth. The Space Colony is converted into a weapon that the Sigma fires. Repliforce General sacrifices his life to Shield the Earth. Weapon explodes.

X5. Sigma lets himself be defeated so he can infect the earth. He is spread so thin that he cannot revive. Dynamo infects a space colony called Eurasia and puts it on a crash course with earth. X/Zero stop it but the Eurasia and Sigma viruses merge into the Zero Virus. It infects Zero and makes him Maverick. X\'s friendship wins and Zero sacrifices himself to Sigma

X6. Gate gets infected by the Zero virus. He makes Nightmare Zero. Zero comes back to life. Gate revives Sigma who kills him. X/Zero win.

I don\'t have a PS2 so I don\'t have X7. My friend does so he\'s gonna help me.

I think that\'s why Capcom put Axl in, to get people away from Zero..so they could take him out of the X series, and keep him in his own series..or something.

And yeah, Zero will probably die in X8 again. As I have said before..Zero is only good at destroying computers, and dying.

Zero is really good and much better in the zero series. But still, X will always be better than zero.

In the megaman zero series, X\'s body still exists, It\'s just sealing up the dark elf. So he survives through X8. X\'s body is destroyed in megaman zero 2 though...
