Well this is my first time i\'ve ever put art on interordi. i felt i needed some coments and such. i really dont know what it is. i guess its a vampire?:conf: it does kinda have that fang doo-hicky going on...... dont ask me. (and dont tell me i need to erase better or work on getting nice lines, i can do that if i want this is how i like it, sketchy) Im just trying to up my cartoony drawing (thats all ive been doing all summer pretty much) And im really sick of my mom trying to tell me im the next divinci. Moms are stupid like that. So i need the honest few to critic it. And by honest i mean be brutal. Try and make me cry if its that bad to you. What im trying to get is the kinda general shape..... head too big? Body outta perportion? Nose ans mouth of center? Do i need to cut off my right arm so it will never spawn something so repulsive ever again? Should i cut of my left arm just to be safe?

When i think of honesty i think Wind Rider. So for this topic you are all little hellraisers or, windriders. Get into the mind-set. Close your eyes. you have just melted a turtle you found outside with a match and some lighter fluid. you are all windrider. now make opinions!

And in color. dont like it as much. (it took me an hour to color it in on paint. its 5:47am i had plenty of time.) im sure theres an easier way to do that. one day you guys got to let me in on what that is....

The body is kewl, however the head is just not kewl.
Pretty good colouring job for MSpaint btw.

Well, you\'ve got an overall good composition, and the lines give a good \"harmony\" to the picture, but you still have a very edgy line and some of the bodyparts are a bit off, like the eyes (to some extent). Good MSPaint job. One can still see some of the grays, left from the scan, but still. Good choice of colours.

Don\'t know if I sounded like Wind Rider... but that wasn\'t my intention , but still, I had my say.

Well what part is messed up about the head the shape? i know its kinda too big for the body but im going for the more cartoon style i guess....

Im thinking that where the right eyebrow is the forehead is too big.

And yeah that is true. the scaning lines, you can still see the smudges and stuff.....

It\'s certainly cute. Both have their flaws, but I don\'t find them really all that important. It\'s obvious cartoonish was the objective, and I enjoy the simplicity.

Yeah, it\'s kinda along the style of \'chibi\'.

And the only big flaw I see, is that your lines are like Sage\'s. You don\'t know how to make a smooth line..it\'s jagged and crazy and all over the place. Stiil, not too bad though.

You guys aren\'t telling me what to fix! and nobody said it made them wanna puke or at least that it sucked. i didnt think it was that good of a 6 minute sketch (i know im slow at drawing). You guys are too polite i swear.... you give the best comments ever to the worst drawings ever and you are the most nit-picky to the best ones. So i never know when you guys are trying to help someones feelings or being real..... tis\' confusing.

Lately ive been trying to draw similar to hijime oeda (i believe that was his name...) he did the FLCL manga ( one of the only manga\'s ive ever liked) and i liked his style. reminded me of me.

Soon somebody has to give me insparation so i can draw something with actual meaning....

Look at Silver\'s work. See the lines? See how they\'re smooth, and it didn\'t look like he was trying to attack the paper with his pencil? Now that\'s not exactly what I expect from everyone in sketch work..



Necro\'s got a good sketch here.. The lines are solid, where they\'re supposed to be. He defines the \'right\' lines..makes them darker, and leaves the stick figure part light and not as noticable. His lines aren\'t as smooth as Silver\'s, but it\'s just a sketch after all.. Silver\'s just insane.

But yeah..that\'s what I mean by jagged lines all over the place.

And as for people nitpicking the \'better\' art, Gutter..my sibling told me that people always expect alot from the \'better\' artists, so they get nitpicky with them. I couldn\'t get nitpicky with your art, because cartoon art is so..varied. *shrug* Saying that something looks wrong is usually pointless in this situation. But I did note the lines.

Well thats better your telling me better on what i need to fix and yet.... somebody put another good vote in the poll box. its really not that good. i know people say that alot but really most people who can hold a pencil can draw that.....
Soon (maybe tomorrow) ill start working on a better picture with smoother lines. i might post it, i might not. but i gots to think of somthing to draw now....... and not some imbicilic girl which is yet unconfirmed to be a vampire or not....

Well its 4:41 a.m. ive been drawing for about 40 minutes now, in the dark in front of my computer. I made new drawing, yeeee! im sure that makes you all giddy inside. i didnt bother to color these. that would take another forty minutes on stupid paint. and its taking over 5 minutes to load 2 stupid pictures onto my photobucket account.... oi vey... (sound like Krusty the Clown?)

The first is a doodle that i started to like. this took me like two minutes to draw.

This one i think is less cartoony than the first. i cant tell if i love the hair or hate it...I wanted to color it but paint takes to long so i desperatly tore through the art drawers in my house to find color pencils so i could fix it better. couldnt find them as you see. I wanted the hair and lips to be a really dark green and a light brown skin tone. I darkened the eyes and left the rest lighter. i thought i made a nice effect. Now for the second....

This is waaay to cute-C for me. but i drew it anyway cause these kinda of chibi drawings are alot easier to me. I hate them. at least i made the girl look as if she was abused or something to make it more appealing to me. You may have noticed i used a scarf twice. i like scarves cause i mess up on the neck area alot. also i suck at drawing bodys to the characters. this was kinda easy. to me, the more realistic your drawing, the harder the body. On this one i tried to do the better lines smoother and what not. i dont think it worked but, eh?..... Im getting better, ive been drawing like 2 days straight trying to get smoother lines. (drawing and the Zelda 4 sword game) Did i improve do you think?

(that second one actually takes up a whole page...) i could resize them but then i\'d have to mess with frickin photobucket again..... and if any of you computer geniuses know how to enlarge a picture, i believe that last picture has a secrect message on the bottom right for you......

I still dont like the top of the hair for the first one where its just a floating head. i might have to go back and change that later..... Comments and/or deaththreats are now being taken....

Drawing2: There\'s no forehead, and not much head in general. It\'s best to draw a circle or something like that, to define where the head will be before you draw hair. The face doesn\'t look bad though, reminds me of Trowa from Gundam.

Drawing3: Your lines already look better. It\'s a chibi look, which I\'m not all that familiar with.. But it doesn\'t look bad. The eyes look strange though..is that eyeshadow or something?

And I\'ll inspire you alright, Sage. *cracks knuckles*

Yeah the drawing was a doodle, i didnt put much thought into it. i like to draw the eyes first and then the hair before i do the head and nose mouth and what not. maybe i should stop doing that.

The left eye on the chibi came out... strange. i do try and do them thicker than a normal eye but it looks kinda funky there. sometimes it comes out good. not here i guess. the mouth doesnt look all that cool either. ill work on it. And i think the lines look nice too. Alot more work to make them smoother but still if it makes it look better......

Maybe hollow can inspire da both of us. ( although i think hollows inspiring Sage to a trip to the hospital but i could dig that.)i dont got crap to draw. im going to ponder now on that....

EDIT: Well i wanted to add anoter picture to the topic but i knew if i made another post Sage would be on my ass like brown on brown rice. Since Hollow wasn\'t in the mood to inspire us people at interordi i could only draw random crap of people just standing. ( i get very bored at night, nothing good is on tv. and i can only force myself to play my Earthbound game so much. P.S. that game sucks....) But then i felt like trying the circle for the head thing and go from there. And i got this-

I left the lines on the circle and the circle so you could see them. I forgot to smoothen out the lines like i am trying to do now.

This is way more cartoony than i would have liked. it doesn\'t even look manga-e or chibi at all. It looks like American crap. which i guess it is.... I cant tell if i like it or hate it again. Now looking at it, the hair on either sides of the neck are different (one side pointy, other more rounded), the ear looks like a hidden easter egg popping out of the side of her face and i forgot to draw the lines in it too, she ressembles a giraffe, and i forgot to darken the eyebrows so you can see them along with other weak points.

i think this technique makes me draw like early sunday morning Nickelodeon(who knows how to spell that crap..) im just ganna do what i did before. I could make it work if i tried harder. maybe its just that i did the mouth really cartoony. like i said i cant tell if i like it or hate it.....

Im not quite sure how to do the technique that your saying.... i could try and do it, but you would need to explain it a bit different or easier yet, just draw one of what your saying and post it....
