Well for the most part, I\'ve never really had a problem with the way Mods have acted on a few boards.
People like Korcas, RnR, Nyetrayn and Magnet_Man (from MMN) are all decent guys, just probably irritated if anything after putting up with spammers and the like at the board. Although, Chao-One does act a little too harsh when he critiques people\'s artwork. Anyway, from what I\'ve seen over at the MMN boards, the mods and admin will lock a topic if; you make a spam topic, make a topic that is already covered in another, usually a Sticky, make a topic that has no place in a specific forum or make a topic that breaks the rules. They will also get annoyed when someone starts to argue with them or snap on the world because of said topics being locked or when flame wars break out. Frankly, if someone was whining about why I locked their topic and I explained but then they began to yell, I\'d snap back at them too. My guess if anything is the MMN Board Mods/Admins are just fed up with some of these things. If you go there now and look around, you\'ll see all the locked topics are as a result of rule violations. They may be strict, but who really gives a toot? If you don\'t agree with them, fine, that\'s your opinion. My opinion is that they are doing their jobs, and while it seems they use excessive force at times, they usually do it after provokation.
Now, as for the Mods and Admins at the BnG Forums, I\'ve heard more than a few choice words about them, especially the women (a friend of mine thinks Liss has some grudge against him or something.). I myself haven\'t had problems with them, I find that most of them (like Sytel) are just doing what they\'re supposed to do.
In any case, the mods and admin I\'ve seen so far behave quite well. Sure they\'ll yell at someone who starts a flame war, but I\'m pretty sure others would too. There\'s those are my two cents.

My sediments exactly. Not to mention I only see LBD\'s responses, and not the stuff written to him, so I\'m guessing those emails sent to his inbox must have been complete crap.

Bah, Mister Chaotic isn\'t harsh when critiquing artwork. He tells things like it is, and alot of the younger folks can\'t take that it seems.

Good god, some of the mods at Gamefaqs. I\'m eligible to use the Meta-Mod system, and after what I saw, I\'m gonna use it more often.

They are evil, on another message board, this was before I joined, I went under the name Garuda, when I got banned, I did NOT break a rule, and I said to the boss 4 days prior to banning, and he INSTANTLY banned me!

I play CS and what i think that what the admins where thinking of were; him asking for some sort of download for CS like an aimbot (auto-locks on targets) or a wallhack (lets you see through walls), so if put that like it is good that the thread was deleted. But if the person was asking for map glitches I.E places that you can get boosted up through the floor or hide easily it should\'ve been left open as if an admin catches you doing it on a server you\'ll get a permanent ban anyway.

But most likely he was going to use the glitches and how to do them for his own personal use, i\'m not saying that he definately would but its a high probability, and as Zupps said cheating in online games is very bad, a glitch is stiill classed as a cheat and he would have been banned from the server/s for using them, so i see it as the admins/mods doing him a favour.

You are right to say that they were wrong to have seen the thread as a Rom/Warez request, so yeah that was a total half assed decision.

You know what else is funny? I use the Meta-Mod a lot now. Great feature BTW. Anyways, one guy stated his opinion on freedom of speech, or lack thereof, and he was warned for Trolling.

Just proves his point.

Man, I hate those MMN Mod/Admin group (I hope I\'m not breaking Doc\'s word). God, I was there since I was 6 years old, and every time I made a topic, it was locked, for no reason! It was a perfectly sence making topic, but they locked it! Now, when Slash was around, there was some sence in the board, but now it\'s out of control. Every since then, I\'ve been making countless users and spamming, but stopped for a while now. IP Ban? Wouldn\'t work. IP changes like every day or something. Anyway, I came here to see if it was a good place to settle, and it was. Thanks Doc!

They seem fine to me. Yes, Silver was a little mean to one person who apparently had the same IP as the person who nuked the forum. But I\'ve seen more anus-like admins than that.

I find it quite interesting how he talks about how me and my cronies are Commies, (Which implies socialist totalitarian where all are equal. Is that an insult, really?) when I have absolutely no idea who he even is.

I can only assume he thinks we\'re some sort of irate tyrants, which is simply not the case if you consider my mods and Admins all get yelled at and/or fired if they violate our own board rules.

And let me tell you, if I forget and screw up, I hear about it, and make private or public apologies if/when waranted.

However, if behaviour like this post in general is typical of your behaviour on the other boards, who I choose not to comment on, most likely were justified in any sort of punishment that has set you to whining about us in a public place behind our backs instead of dealing this in a mature matter.

Lock topics I dont like? Politcal topics get locked, yes, because that violates board rules. Some topics don\'t get locked that should be? (Talking out of both sides of our mouths, are we Solar Warrior? You should be in politics.) That\'s called Leniency.

My forum rules are bullshit? Lets see... No flaming, no politics... Various signature and avatar restrictions... Rules about obeying mod directives... Yeah, that\'s cause to rub my face in the dirt.

You\'ve been banned and recieved many warnings from many forums and mods Solar Warrior? Do you even know why? Have you stopped to think that maybe, just maybe, you may be breaking the rules and regualtions?

You flame people, you harass new members of CN forums, and go behind our backs to insult us and trash us to others. Yet you claim to be the \"innoncent victim\" of \"unfair modship and asshole admins\". You whine about being insulted behind our backs and then go make a thread dedicated to bash us.

Grow up. Deal with the fact that we are not all your friends. You dug the hole you\'re in.
