Well, I\'m sure you guys have seen the new generation of gamers. Let\'s talk about this for a moment (or maybe a couple of pages, which other one sounds more reasonable). Well, they are annoying, as you know. These new gamers are known to this: Graphics, and thats pretty much it, OH, and the new consoles, mostly the GBA, GCN, PS2, and X-Box. Now, this is annoying as CRAP since they don\'t really know how good games on NES-whatever are. This dumb kid in my class claimed he had all game systems. Well, I stumbled over to his house one day, and I found a X-Box, GCN, GBA, GBC, and a PS2. He said those are the only \"GOOD\" game systems. Right there I wanted to kill him. I also asked this kid in my class (Uses Game Shark, but still can\'t get through a fourth of FFX) that if graphics matter, and the other kid I was talking about said, \"Yeah it does! If it doesn\'t, it sucks!\", and again, I was going to kill him. Now thats my 1st-5th Grade classes so far.

Now, what are you opinions about this new \"gamers\"?

Well yes, some kids go by the characters. Like Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, ect. But it gets annoying as hell. Once these kids said Megaman sucks... Well, you know what happened.


Since I am ten (almost 11) people don\'t care if I hurt a older kid. They think they were trying to hurt me...

I do want to stab them in the eyes sometimes. I preferred when videogames were for nerds and 80\'s kids only. I don\'t think 80\'s kids cared about graphics.

You guys have got a point. Graphics aren\'t everything. Some of my old favorite games were on the Atari (can\'t remember any names because its been so long). However, when it comes to modern games with terrible graphics, that\'s where I draw the line. I just can\'t stand that for some reason.

I am really picky with my games. So, I spend the least money for the best games. In my opinion, graphics matters to me.

On Topic: I was born on the 7th of September in 1992, 1 year before the NES was failing. The Atari 2600 sucked, good thing it died. MSX=bad.

No, we aren\'t. It\'s not just Megaman, but Megaman is included, so no forum would really fall in this, but Chit-Chat might as well be the best.


On topic (kinda), you were born 92, I was born 93. Your only a year older.... Tell me, where do you live, and your name.... Anyway, Keitaro, I\'m not sure if I am with you, or not with you. Hmm... Do you think all the older games suck, or is graphics the ONLY thing you care about?

Well, it\'s kinda dumb of kids of any age (I\'m 14) to believe that graphics are all that matters; if that were true, then they could go to a movie, buy tickets for a friend, popcorn and a drink and still save about $20.

And besides, all the great games like Megaman, Mario, Link, Metal Gear, Sonic, all of them started out on systems whose graphics, in comparison to today\'s, are absolutely c***. \"You must know where you came from to know where you\'re going...\"

Also, I believe that these kids buying the game are too damn impatient. take, for example, my cousin (10) who plays shooters and racers, immediate gratification. He reluctantly popped FFX in for about 5 minutes, played until you reach an early point in the game, and quit claiming, \"It doesn\'t make any sense!\"

(Yeah, well if you didn\'t have the attention span of a flea, perhaps you\'d enjoy something deeper than sniping off fellow fleas on the newest historical FPS.)

Ten, eh? I\'m not sure why I started out unlike any kid. I\'m ten, I do the basic things ten year olds do, but I\'m still different, in many ways. I guess it might be because I grew with big brothers.

I was born in 87... I came into the world almost the same time as the first megaman game.. I begged for my first game console, an NES.. My mom still plays that thing.. she loves Tetris, and the original Legend of Zelda (me too!) I have a profound appreciation for that console.. it was part of what taught me that graphics aren\'t everything. I think that, for those of us who were around for the glory days, we got used to the \'bad\' graphics of the day, and learned to appreciate, most of all, the gameplay, story, and characters. As new consoles came out, we kept our appreciation of the innermost workings of a game, the graphics were just a juicy bonus. I, personally, think graphics are simply a nice thing to have... in some ways, they\'ve helped games become more interactive, and more in-depth, but, I don\'t think they\'re everything. But, these kids who were raised on the \'64 and the Cube.. \'better\' graphics are all they know, so, you could say they\'re spoiled. =p

My sister is a big pokemon lover.. the problem is, she hates Metroid.. yes.. and she takes every opportunity to voice this. She\'s never even PLAYED a Metroid game, and, Samus is my hero (ah.. a video game heroine without super-boobs, and skimpy clothes), and I don\'t appreciate my heroes being made fun of... If I even SAY the word \'Metroid\', then she quickly butts in with \"GOD! Metroid SUCKS!\".. she\'s 12.. and in for an ass-whuppin.. I think she\'s just mad because I play as Samus in SSBM, and kick her ass all the time.. and, she\'s a graphically spoiled brat.. =p

Didn\'t know a thing, games like the Atari 2600 Pac-Man made kids\' interest in 8-bit fall, while my laundry soared like eagle.

Gasp! Are you like, my one-year-younger-clone!? But anyways, graphics don\'t just matter. Games with bad graphics just annoy me. (I am now, waiting for a game. The game is... Star Wars: Battlefront.) Games like UT2004, and SSBM are pretty much the types the games I like.

I guess you don\'t play many Playstation games then. Not PS2, Playstation..because some of the Playstations game graphics are horrendous.

But that doesn\'t mean there\'s not a good game hiding underneath them. The Resident Evil series, for example.

Don\'t forget MMX4, 5 and 6.

FF7\'s graphics were awful compared to FFX, but I still played it, so ha.

I was born in 82 and would be more than happy to smack any young whipsnapper over the head with a cane for being spoiled by graphics.
