Godzilla is a male. The fact that he had a son doesn\'t necessarily mean he gave birth to it. The egg may already have existed long after the female died off. It too was probably mutated by the nuclear bomb testing on the island.

Anyways, The tokyo citizens, the army, and everyone else in the Godzilla movies constantly refers to Big-G as a male. And I don\'t wanna hear this crap about \"He has no male genitalia, so he\'s not a male.\". Very few reptiles, if any, reproduce the same way mammals do. I\'d go further into this, but I don\'t want to upset the administration.

And as for the American Godzilla, yeah, it was asexual... But the one that hatched at the end of the movie was definitely male. The hatchling went on to become the star of a probably not-too-well heard about cartoon series. In one episode, he falls in love with a female lizard monster on some small island and helps defend her nest against some other monsters.
