No, Data doesn\'t actually talk to a cactus in the game. He gave Megaman one on his birthday, saying that it was a good object to talk to. It is a reference to the comic strip \"Peanuts\".
This cactus is only in MML1, in Megaman\'s room.

I think it happened in 2 but...Im pretty sure data was only engaging in healthy conversation whcih ahs nothing to do with mine or hiros roll obssession.
You probably saw some fanart. While I\'m sure we all can appreciate what fanart stands for, sometimes it can be misleading. For instance, so many fancomics of Guilty Gear featured an evil character named Black Ky, that entire forums would think he was an official character.
While fanarts are fun, you\'ve got to be able to distinguish them from official art.
