The Japanese launch of the PSP will be December 12th 2004, retailing at 20,790 Yen which amounts to about $185-200 US for the unit, charger and battery pack.

another release set will cost 24,800 Yen which includes a memory stick and other accessories.

also Sony has confirmed the battery life saying that it will last 4-6 hours, and that\'s 4-6 hours at half volume, no LAN connection, and using headphones not the speakers.

No US release date has been issued as of yet.

My gosh, only 4-6 hours? Ha! And Sony was saying before that it would be around 10 hours with just normal gameplay! Those fools! Oh well. The DS is supposed to last more than 10 hours, or so I hear, so I won\'t have to worry about that poorly developed piece of overpriced junk.
