*EHEAM* *COUGH* *HACK* Welcome to the DDR topic! Now, I dout anyone here has even played but, I could be wrong. Anyway, i\'ll give you ghe basic information about the game.

What Is DDR?: DDR stands for Dance Dance Revalution. It is a game were you use a special dance mat as a controler.

What is the dance mat?: The dance mat is a medium sized mat with arrows pointing left, right, down, and up.

How do you play?: All you have to do is stand right in the middle of the mat and step on the arrows. It isn\'t as easy as it looks though.

There are lots of differnt mats. The best ones are the Nuby kind.

There are lots of differnt DDR titles. This one is for the xbox.

Here, I will explain everything seen on the screen.

What is the bar at the top?: That is your dance meter. Stepping on the arrows in right form will make it go up, and if your not doing so well, it will go down and eventually it will be game over.

What are the arrows at the top?: These are important about the game, when an arrow comes right on to it, you must step on the right dirrection. If you miss or don\'t completely step on the arrow when it comes up, your dance meter will drop down.

When I step on a arrow it says differnt stuff at the bottom: When you step on a arrow it will etheir say the following. Perfect Great Good Almost Boo-(try not to get that one)

Are there miny games on the DDR?: yes, only on the PS2 and xbox

Can you chose characters? Yes, you start out with some, and after progessing through the game, you will get more.

Are there differnt levels of songs?: There is a Begginer Light Standard and Hard mode for every song to suit your dancing skills.

NOTE: Some songs can only be done on challeng.

How do I get more songs?: Youmust play a number of songs to get more. There will be a big flashy NEW! sing at the bottom to tel you.

What is challeng mode?: Challeng mode combines all the skill levels into one, making it a very difficult challeng.

What are combos?: I don\'t know much about them, but I think you have to get a few of the same phrases and it will eventally say you have one.

NOTE: if you want to keep your combo, you must get the followinh phrases: Perfect Great. Getting any other will make you lose your combo.

Dose it give you an overall mark?: Yes, it will grade you. You can get either an

AA* A* B C D E

NOTE: There may be more marks that I do not know.

What is the BPM?: How fast the arrows go on the dance screen.

NOTE: Some song\'s BPM will keep changing. EX. Wld Rush and the song A will go slow to fast.

Can you use the controller instead of the mat?: Yes, but thats cheating. Nobaody likes a cheater, you know. ;)

My Friend And I have played the game.We almost beat it but lost close to the last level.After that we just quit.Then the next day we beat the damn game.

Ehehe... yeah, I like the game. It\'s a great way for me to listen to music when I have nothing to do and actually feel like I\'m playing a video game...

...even without the dance pad....

I do that to...........only because my brother busted the dance pad though.

I love it, its a great excersising tool.

There was this overweight kid who lost 100 pounds by playing that game everyday (and healthy snacks), cool eh?

Huge ddr fan on heavy on pad and controller. I\'ve got all 5 ps games that they have released for both ps1 and ps2 except for the weird disney mix that was a joke:lol: and i have bought 3 pads, 2 cheep ones and a red octane ignittion pad($100) and i\'ve got one soundtrack from japan.:D so to sum it up ....I LOVE DDR

I forgot to say that my best grade on the game was on max300 I got a AA three times and I have passed the extra stage twice. I\'m working on legend of max too to get a AA on that

I got DDR Max 2, and me and a buddy were trying to accomplish the unthinkable....A 1000 perfect combo in nonstop mode!!! DUN DUN DUN!! XDDD

And Yes....It failed T_T

on ddr max in the oni mode there is a posibility that you can get i think over 2000 combos on the challenge called \"Hard core\" my friend got a 1400 combo on the ninth stage and then totally bombed \"midnight blaze\":lol: he\'s such a ;o

I just ordered a japanese ddr 8th mix from this crappy site called \"buy rite games\"

they will rip you off big time. I ordered it about a 3 months and they said from 5-10 days! that really pisses me off. they dont answer there phones and they dont answer thee e mails and I want that ddr 8th mix game soooooooooooo bad.

Well...err...i can sorta play it...Im not very good at it though. Im better at playing stepmania. Stepmania is for the computer...basically, its DDR but you\'re using your keyboard instead. Im much better at that.
Im good at the very little know about games like drummania, and beatmania =_=...
