They aren\'t going to make any new IEs, but you can\'t take it off your computer if you have WinXP...which sucks on so many levels...Anyway, I use Firefox and didn\'t have any problems with it so far.

Ugh...I never liked FireFox. I\'m an IE fan myself. As for your crap about security holes: FireFox has \'em too. They just aren\'t exploited as much.

For the same reason that no one bothers to make viruses for Apple and Linux.

I can\'t really say which is best. Like AirMaster said, Windows XP cannot get anything else. IE isn\'t bad, but you know, I wish I could at least try something else.:D

No, you can use other things in XP, you just can\'t remove IE from XP.

Why can\'t you? It\'s not that hard to try out Firefox. Your bookmarks from IE is easily imported in it for example.

And besides the reasons of better security, ad/pop-up blocking and stuff you can also add nice themes and handy extensions to it.

The fact that it is part of the operating system is why you can\'t remove, and it\'s also why it\'s a bd idea. You\'re looking at the internet with part of the operating system. Not the best idea. It has fewer securety holes, and the fact that they\'re exploited less often is reason enough for me to ditch Internet Explorer.

The reason they are less exploited, is that Firefox is less commonly used as IE. If FireFox were used by the majority, you can bet people would be complaining about it\'s security holes.

Which is why everyone would go to another browser. However, the fact is, Firefox has got fewer security holes. Mozilla is worried about security of their software. Microsoft is just worried about making money.

Please, refrain from such stupidity Airman. Microsoft, as a whole, is no more concerned about making money than any other company.

Yeah, it was actually packaged in a box for sale. I mean, back in good ol\' days, browsers weren\'t free. =P

I like the fact that it has Google/Yahoo/Dictionary.com/Amazon/Ebay search static on the top right.
