And to whoever said the touch screen isn\'t a gimmick, WHAT?!?!?! Yes, I realize that they have been used for years on PDA\'s. A PDA is not a game system. Even if you do happen to debunk that argument, I\'ve seen the games coming out for the DS. And the vast majority of them rely on gimmicky gameplay. Like that one where you draw lines on the screen to dictate where you go, don\'t tell me thats not a gimmick, because it is.
I realize that the Cube had more power technically, however the PS2 had a better game library, regardless of how they came by this library, it had the library. Plus I\'ve played both systems, I haven\'t played X-box, The button layout on the PS2 was much more intuitive, there were too many buttons in wierd places on the Cube\'s controller.
I realize that there were some really good games on the Cube, however most of those were made by Nintendo, and I didn\'t say that they weren\'t better game makers than Sony, hell, Sony didn\'t make many games, if any.
Oh, the supposedly, breaking PS2\'s not so broken after all, just a dirty lens.
I based my more power statement on the fact that PS2 used a DVD format, while Cube used a Mini-disc. This statement was a bit biased, and I am sorry for that.
I also realize that the PSP\'s price is high, I got no argument for that, but it does play MP3\'s, and Movies, and it holds pictures, though these are technically gimmicks, they do not effect gameplay, and I doubt that it will effect the type of games released for it.
Now may I go away with my dignity, or are you going to attack me more for liking Sony better as a system builder.
Time to reply in a dignified manner. Ok about the \"Gimmicks\" of the DS that is the whole reason it was made innovation not gimmick. I mean it\'s the only real game system of its kind, it\'s taking the path less traveled, venturing out to a new venue. Like it or not, we all want something new in gaming, and this does make it more interactive.
You\'re right about the PS2 having a bigger library of games, no denying that. But the problem is that about 75% of PS2s break, and not just a dirty lens(I took mine apart cleaned it readjusted the laser eye and still no go.) many of them could not even read the CD based games(blue discs) I could not install my hard drive because it was a blue disc.
I\'m not going to attack you for liking Sony, I may be a fan boy but I still have some since, PS2 is a good system, when it works, For RPG\'s the newer Nintendo consoles have not had a deep library of them. The playstation and PS2 however have had hundreds and that\'s what keeps me playing my PS1 all the time.
and that\'s all I have to say about that.
