I\'ve noticed that there\'s a TON of remake games, movies, and comics coming out: a new Fantastic Four comic, movie, and game; Batman Begins, starting back at the beginning of his story; a Pink Panther remake, and tons tons tons TONS more.

So, what do you think about remake games?

Personally, I don\'t have any problem with them, as long as the movie/game/comic has been around long enough to remake fresh.

I would say that it all depends on what the Game/Comic/Movie is. I mean, some things are meant to be a classic while others could definitely need a \'make over.\';)

Not to mention that a remake could go either way. There\'s no gurantee that it will do it justice or not.

I think it depends on the director moreso than the game, movie, or comic.... for example (and, this is just my personal opinion):
Spider-Man 1 and 2 were fantastic (Sam Raimi did a wonderful job, and, I hear Spider-Man 3 is in the works for 2007!), as were X-Men 1 and 2... Harry Potter 1 and 2 were alright.. both had spectacular potential, and, I don\'t think they were as good as they could have been. Then for Prisoner of Azkaban, they switched directors.. and, there seems to be a general concensus that the 3rd movie lived up to its potential quite well.
Meanwhile, you see horror stories like \"Super Mario Brothers\", which didn\'t match the game at all... it all depends on the director\'s view of the subject.. Does he love this book/comic/game? or, is it just a potential piggy bank?

It changes from case to case as far as I\'m concerned. Take Kirby\'s Adventure and it\'s remake: Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland. The remake is flawless, and as solid as the original. On the other side, take Mega Man 3 and it\'s remake in the Wily Wars: the remake had controls that would react more slowly than the original version. That has a direct impact on gameplay. So, I\'m really split on the subject.

They have mad some good comics into some good movies (Sin City) and have murdered others by making crappy movies (Xmen, the hulk) Comic wise, it\'s really just artistic freedom. I think some of the new batman/xmen
stuff is pretty good. It really depends.
