I thought this would happen... ^^;
To Hollow\'s question, they were graded on points and decimals. Just the Results Page that everybody sees were by rank. A reason why the Results Page had ranks and the pages the judges had were in points was because there\'s bound to be a person who wants a \"recount\" because the scores were so close. Believe me, those entries were hard to score the first time and to have to change the original score you gave a picture is tough.
To Rioni\'s question, I suggested no comments. Here was my reason: if the judges were to comment, they will have to comment on all of the entries (even the two bad ones that didn\'t follow the rules) so it would be fair (and we wouldn\'t get complaints saying \"Why didn\'t So-And-So comment on my picture?\"). Plus, it would kinda be boring to read the judge say \"Yours was pretty good\" rephrased for the 3rd time on another picture.
I know some people like having comments. I personally hated when I got comments on my entry on a contest last year. All they said was, \"You have drawing talent, but we know the subject already.\" Translation: \"There are better artists than you and the subject is so overused that your picture is boring.\" What I am saying is that if a judge had to comment on a picture they didn\'t particularly liked, they will have to sugar coat their comment. I don\'t like lying to people.
Of course, it works the other way too. Some people can\'t take hard criticism.
Eh... Didn\'t like my answers? ^^;; A judge\'s job is tough...
