From the August \'05 Play Magazine:

Whatever happened to Mega Man: Anniversary Collection (GBA)?

If, by chance, you\'ve been wondering what happened to Mega Man: Anniverasary Collection on GBA (previously called Mega Man Mania), well, there\'s some good news and bad news. According to the game\'s producer at Capcom, the reason the game has suffered such lengthy delays (it was due out more than a year ago) is because they had trouble locating the game\'s original source code, causing programming difficulties and causing portions of code to be rewritten from scratch. However, the producer stated that the game - which includes the Game Boy versions of Mega Man 1 through 5 - is still coming, although he wouldn\'t confirm that it was still for GBA. A change of scenery to the DS may be in order....

Well, I hope it doens\'t come on the DS or PSP because I don\'t have them...

I totally don\'t believe what this magazine says and/or what this game producer says. They are now just making excuses... >_>

Besides, I think it would be really stupid to move this collection to the Ninteno DS. What would be the point? Those old games don\'t need any of the DS\' special features, and the DS can read GBA games anyway...

If it\'s a DS game, they can charge more money for it than a crusty, dusty GBA game. It\'s all about the green.

Don\'t most DS games cost the same $29.99 as the Game Boy games do?

I don\'t think so. I actually haven\'t checked:eek: I do know GBA games are getting cheaper. Some of them are noe $19.99 ang $14.99. I\'m assuming a DS game would be $30-40. Either way, the game looks good.

From what I\'ve actually seen in stores, yes, GBA and DS titles sell for about the same price. Some DS titles will go for up to 50$ US, but those are few and far between.

The only DS Games with a 50 Dollar price set are the ones that really break the mold. =P

Offtopic: Alot of the new DS games look to break the mold. Under the Knife and Nintendogs are two examples. I played a demo of Nintendogs, and I have to say that I\'m hooked. It could very well be a killer app for the DS.

Ontopic: It doesn\'t matter what handheld it\'s for, it looks to be a good game. I could finally stop downloading those ROMs....oops, did I say too much?
