Alright, so I watched \"The Shining\" recently, as I believe somebody told me I should, and of course, I was scared out of my wits for at least the remainder that day. Actually, it was the old lady\'s corpse in the bathroom that terrified me. Anyways...

I was very confused about two parts of the movie. For one thing, when the wife is running through the hotel, seeing the apparitions, she comes upon a man in a hotel room with another man dressed like a dog. I really couldn\'t understand that part at all. Another thing is how the twins say \"Come play with us for ever, and ever-,\" etc. etc. Anyways, why do they want the kid to die? I mean, why are the twins\' spirits evil too? It would make sense if they seemed to be trying to warn him of something, but they really make it sound like they want the little boy to die too and become a spirit like them.

It\'s all pretty confusing.:conf:

Oh silly silly AimMan...trying to understand a Stanley Kubrick film!

Really, alot of the stuff in his movies isn\'t meant to be understood. It\'s one of those deals where people who think they\'re smarter than others say they understand it, but it really has no real meaning so they\'re being idiots themselves.

As a side note, Stephen King hated this movie.
