the japanese magazine Famitsu has reported on Capcom releasing a \"Rockman X\" (yeah, the first game) remake, properly entitled \"Irregular Hunter X\" to the PSP - scheduled for Winter 2005. It is also said \"Capcom plans to add new modes and modified levels as well\".

With TGS coming up in the next weeks, we\'re sure to see the first screenshots and details on this remake. Keep your eyes peeled!

But Vile as a playable character is a bit odd to me, I dunno why, I could see how the game could be played with a Zero story mode though. All you\'d have to do is have X to do die in the scene where Zero tries to stop Vile in his mech.

But Vile? Who would replace him in the intro stage and first Sigma stage?

Playing Vile is probably only for like level on or two, because remember they say he goes Maverick. SO, you probably play as him until X is found or he is infected by the virus. I dont know. We will see.

I don\'t think anybody would be buying it if it were a re-release for a non-portable console. Pretty much the entire point is that this one\'s for the PSP, right?:lol:

Because PSP deserves it and it is new portable system and PS2 is too old and too many games and the remake were available for PS2 as AirManv2.5 mentioned. This version is good for PSP to travel nor to play a new way and play again with better design and few updates that are not in an old version. I hope it made a sense to you.

Yes I see your logic. I guess I just am not completely happy with the idea of having discs as portable games. Too easy to break, scratch etc.. Meh:D

Yes it will survive because there is a protection for umd in it for a trip. I left it inside the UMD box at every released game so I dont needs to worry about damage it at all.

Most people got games out of the boxes and throw box away and carried games around even left them on the carpet inattention or near the sun shine light on it or something like that. It is not very good way to do that but that\'s reason why those can be damages easily.

I don\'t throw away boxes I keep em. I do take care of my discs, a lot more than some people i know:D

I will most likely get the PSP. Just not yet...

Anyway getting a little off track, I\'m really looking forward to this game. Do you think they\'ll redo the entire X series?

A new official trailer for the game that was posted on GameSpot can be seen here. Here\'s the reason to watch it: Dr. Light\'s voice at the end. You\'ve got to here his gruff old man voice. It\'s a far cry from his Proffessor Oak meets Elmer Fudd voice of Megaman 8 (It was 8, right?).

Early next year is what we\'ve gotten so far for America, I believe. Not sure about a European release date. I think whenever it is, it will probably be released right along with Powered Up, which I know has an early American release date.

Jan in the USA? Well if there is a Europe (me:()release you know how long it\'s gonna take. Especially since version 2.6 of the PSP is supposed to have region coding. Good job UK has the same region as Japan:)
