Alright this was mentioned enough in a previous topic that I think it deserves its own topic.
Anyways the thing is incredibly small somehwere around 2-3 inches and really in my opinion was made by Taiwanese Toddlers that live in some guys heating system.
The overall System isn\'t too bad it just has some design flaws such as an incredibly hard to reach set of start and select buttons. Really tiny ,and hard to use if you have big fingers, Shoulder buttons, and a screen so small you need a magnifying glass for it.
My rating: 3.5/10

If you have big fingers, it\'s either genetics, or you just ate the wrong stuff.
I think with most people having trouble with it are under the second thing. Dang obesity problem.

Why do people keep saying that it has a small screen? I could have sworn it was the same size as the GBA normal, only this one is actualy higher res. Seriously, it\'s supposed to be the best screen Nintendo has ever put into a handheld...according to Nintendo that is.

No, can\'t be 2x2. That would make the screen square, and it\'s definitly longer than it is tall.

I haven\'t heard a whole lot about these things, but I really didn\'t see much of a point to them. I mean, it\'s basically the same as the original Gameboy Advance and the SP\'s, except that it\'s smaller and has different colors. If the screen\'s better I see more of a point to them, but not much.

Yeah, I was at a game shop an I was talking to the clerk, and I was like \"Oh...Stupid Micro...Drains your pockets fast...I can play ALL the gameboy games I have on my SP, and there is no way in hell I\'ll ever need a Micro to play games! I can just buy a DS! That plays ALL Nintendo handheld games!\" She was like \"Yeah, I know, isn\'t it pointless?\"

My point exactly...Ditch the Micro and get a DS...You have a lerger variety of games...

But there are a few points to owning a GBA or GBA SP, which the Nintendo DS or GameBoy Micro fail to do: they can play all of your previous GameBoy games WAAAY back to Super Mario Land, they allow you to play multiplayer GBA games, and they allow you to connect to the GameCube for the games that support it. That\'s why I have a GBA SP and a DS.

*GASP!*
The micro\'s screen is the same size, it\'s just an illusion created by the size of evertything else. In fact, I kinda thought it was larger. The buttons aren\'t a problem, but they will be soon. My fingers aren\'t fat...they\'re muscular. Yes, muscular. I can flex my index finger, and carry 3 duct taped pepsi 24-packs with it.
Freaky, eh?
Anyways, I was only using my friend\'s Micro. Nothing really worth buying, especially when you\'re dead broke- or just damn close.

So I'm not going to have anything spectacular in my signature.

Wrong. Put it side-by-side with a GBA or GBA SP, or take a ruler and compare that way. The GBMicro\'s screen IS smaller.

If it has a high res screen then \"woo-hoo\". It is also a \"true\" handheld, really small. Then again it\'s easier to misplace.

I got an SP and It has the nice feature of folding, protecting its screen. I like it. Both the DS and SP can do this and have backwards compatability.

I give the Micro the royal shafting. Bollocks to it.

lol doc you\'re so so very up to date with all your gaming now arn\'t you

the micro\'s screen IS a fraction smaller than a regualr gba/sp.

also, the micro\'s target audience isn\'t for children/teenagers (who already have either or both gba/sp by now). it\'s made for the 18+ audience who don\'t want to look like a child playing a large gameboy on the bus/train to work. as in, it\'s more discrete than playing Wario Ware Touched on the ds, using a stylus and randomly blowing into the mic from time to time

Personally, i think it SUCKS BADLY.
Look, would you pay 100 bucks for a handheld system, with tiny buttons, and small screens, and problems, and its so skinny if it drops on its side it would probably break?

Instead, Buy a GBA SP, for only 50-75 dollars, and it has a bigger screen, higher res, biger buttons, and is WAY more durable...So i would rate it:

0/10

Dude...Nintendo never releases stuff that breaks easily. I doubt that the GBMicro is the exception to that rule. Heck, I thought that the GBA SP would break easily because of the folding screen, but it didn\'t. So there you go.

And the GBMicro takes less time to recharge it\'s batteries and the battery life is about the same as the SP.

Seriously, you ppl bash handhelds when they\'re too big. Nintendo comes up with something that has the same power as the SP, has the same resolution as the SP (check out this page for more details), but is smaller and you bash it as well. Make up your mind on what you want.

Think about the clues...
Nano is small and thin. Falling on a hard tile, on its side, will break it.

And no, it doesnt have the same battery life. SP is 15:00 hours, and Nanos is 14:00...That is why it charges faster.

No, the Res isnt the same. The Nanos res is a bit lower then SPs...

--------------
PLUS, something with a flip screen, even hand-held systems, DO NOT BREAK EASILY...They have a special magnetic pull, and a tight screwing, ALSO, Screens without flips, USUALLY get dirtier due to dust particles filling in on it, while the flipscreen blocks the screen from dust and dirt....

The nano? Dude, we aren\'t talking about ipods here...

Anyway, The SP has a battery life of 18 hours only if you don\'t play with the light on. It goes down to 10 when you have the light on. The Micro always has the light on and plays for 10 hours straight. So they have the same battery life and the Micro recharges faster.

For the resolution. The SP has a resolution of 240 x 160 pixels and the Micro has the same resolution on a smaller screen.

About the resistance. How do you know if it\'ll break easily? Nintendo would never release a handheld that breaks easily and I don\'t think that the Micro is an exception to that rule. And while it\'s true that handhelds without flip screen see their screen get dirtier faster, it doesn\'t mean that one without a flip screen sucks...or else you could bash all the pre-GBASP handhelds for not having one or even the PSP.
