Anyone who has a PS2 has at one time or another played Kingdom Hearts, a game filled with vibrant graphics, great story, and a cast of characters you couldn\'t help but love. Now, 3 years later, the sequil draws near (March or April of this year). NOW, what do you think? Have these 3 years drawn you away, or are you like me, sitting right next to the nearest KH2 fansite, clinging to them for information? Myself, I have imported the game from Japan, as long as some very nice looking KH memorbelia(sp?). I never liked it. It\'s too kitty-like compared to the Final Fantasy games. Plus it has a bunch of Disney shit in it, so even worse. Plus, wtf? A freckin over-sized key as a sword? Thats just gay. Thats all I have to say.

Also you have to give creadet that they had two unlikely pairs and made them mix very very well. Not only did they do that, but they made Disney seem cooler than ever. Kingdom Hearts is certainly a great blend between Disney and Final Fantisy. If you can\'t handle that your missin out of a great great game. Only to get better in it\'s sequal.

The only reason you guys see that as a flame is because you\'re KH fanbabys. Otherwise, it is my opinion, and if I like, I can speak it. You can\'t do anything like that. And I\'m not even telling you to like \"shut up\" or cursing at you. That is flaming, not giving opinion on a game. Thats feedback on the game.

Also, all those things I said are true. Have I ever liked Disney? No, never. I was born into a family in which I learned everything fast. I was never really intrested in animated shows, they were never really funny or cool to me. Disney was just worse. I did not want to watch a stupid mouse do nothing. Whatever he did wasn\'t real, so there was no point in him.

Then I met video games. I started to love them. But I still did not like stupid cartoons or characters. Disney was to childish to me and still is. I also do not like the world or land. I like Six Flags. Now, I do like South Park, The Simpsons, Family Guy, and that stuff because it\'s always been funny and I enjoyed that. But Disney? What? I can\'t say ***? Screw that.

Yers, a key is gay for a weapon. Who the hell uses a key to kill something? And besides, it\'s freckin way oversized. I also do not see how a key would possible hurt anything.

FF is original. Besides, if you didn\'t think so, they would have stoped at FF7 or FF8. But they didn\'t. They stucked with the stuff they had been doing and made some really good FF games.

A subscribe to the theory that anyone using an oversized object not normally used as a weapon, or anything not normally used as a weapon, is awesome. That might explain why I like James Bond or Guilty Gear.

Seriously, though, the post you claim isn\'t a flame doesn\'t seem to have much in it to temper it... did you even play it? It seems like you can\'t just write it off like that. I honestly had low expectations (besides graphics) when I picked it up.

Anyways, if I saw somebody go into the Legends forum and say \"OMG [insert character] HAS STUPID HAIR THAT\'S THE DUMBEST STORY EVER AND ROLL AND MEGANAM R N LOVE WTH?\" I\'d probably get offended. You have to realize that KH is one of those games that got so much fanbase that speaking against it is probably not going to go over well. Still, if that\'s your opinion, you can stick to it.

(Of course the same about thinking Legends was being flamed doesn\'t apply if it was, say, an amnesty-granted board troll. :P)

So Zera, I take it you enjoyed FF7?

I like the whole FF series. FF8 the most due to the fact it was the hardest. They barely changed much in the series except for the graphics and characters. But it an awesome series. Way better than KH.

BTW, there is this kid that is obsessed with KH. Every freckin day he talks about it, and then talks bad about every other game, like FF series and Megaman, Zelda, all of it. It\'s just KH. He\'s so annoying... and so, that is one facter why I hate KH.

Ah, judging a game based on the subject of it\'s crossover. I remember this happening once to a bit of an extreme. On another forum once, a member wanted to write a fanfiction that incorporated some of the more serious elements of Pokemon into the Halo universe. Not a usual combination I\'ll admit, but most of us decided to give it a chance. Of course there are always people who refuse to, casting an uninformed judgement in their arrogance. There was one member who actually crusaded. Doing everything in his power to try and keep the fiction from being written. One argument was that it was a perversion of nature, crossing over two universes that \"God never intended for to cross over\". I informed him at this point--and got sigged for a while--that it was rather arrogant for him to claim what God intended, and politely asked for him to not do it again. After several others reinforced my position, a handful managed to get him to stop posting, though he warned the project would be a failure. At last check, the writing was almost out of the plot-planning and I look forward to reading it.

My point is that, as silly as the concept may seem, it\'s incredibly stupid to write off the game without playing it--unless the idea is beyond stupid like a game about a magical toilet seat, though I\'d imagine someone could pull that off somehow.

Since when does the lack of originality stop a game series? No matter how many times you remake an old plot with new characters and slap a new title on it, there will be people to buy it. And they weren\'t all that good. FF7+ were pretty shitty.



You would not believe how many people hated FF8\'s system. I, for one, happen to agree.

Bah, humbug. Well, I think I\'ll stay out of this little rumble, on this note: I was never much of a Disney fan myself, but Kingdom Hearts protrays FF andDisney in a sense of slight darkness. Yes, the characters such as Goofy and Donald have quite a time toying with Sora, but they DO act serious when the time comes. All the Disney charfacters aren\'t running around running and screaming \"I R TEH HAPPY! LET\"S GO KILL TEH EVIL D00D!\"

I feel that Disney and Squaresoft do a great job of balancing themselves out. Personally, I like the inclusion of Disney. Many of the Final Fantasy games just begin to feel a little too slow or dark to play; Disney really helps to lighten up the story a bit. On the other hand, all Disney would be too childish for an RPG player. Therefore, with the inclusion of Squaresoft\'s RPG making expertice, even the most laughable evil villains can become full-fledged bad-mamajama boss enemies. I think they compliment eachother quite well...

It\'s just too bad it\'s only the newer Final Fantasies that make cameos in Kingdom Hearts. I\'d love to see some Final Fantasy 3 in there. Kefka pw4nd! Or however you\'re supposed to misspell owned.

And sorry Zera, but you are flaming with calling things gay and babyish. There\'s no looking the other way to be involved in this situation.

I believe Black MAge is In KH2...or a look-alike. I know all of those Magic-casting Heartless from the first game are based off of them...That count? <.<

Sorry, I wasn\'t being quite specific enough. I intended to say Final Fantasy 6, since it wasn\'t really Final Fantasy 3 but was only dubbed as such. I don\'t think they had unspecific characters in that one such as theif or fighter.

Although, I guess that game is even older than FF6 really. I mean, the first ones with Black Mages and White Mages and such. However, I don\'t consider just the look of the Black Mage to be a sign of the past, since he\'s really been kept throughout many Final Fantasy games past his first. In FFTA, and other games of that sort.

Well, it may please you to hear that Setzer is making an appearance in Kingdom Hearts 2, Aim.

However, for the most part Kingdom Hearts only feature the Final Fantasy characters that the director, Tetsuya Nomura designed. Which means Final Fantasy VII, VIII and X. I think the only FF characters that are supposed to appear in KH 2 that he didn\'t do the original designs for are Setzer and Vivi.

I\'ll probably rent Kingdom Hearts 2 when it\'s released. The first game was good, but at the same time, I\'m not really a big fan of it. I also think it\'s overrated, but nowhere near the likes of say Final Fantasy VII or Ocarina of Time.
