Does anyone have any idea when this game is coming out? Speaking of Slippy, I loved when my friends came over to play assault and they would choose Slippy and run slower than a slug. I would just snipe them XD.

Anyone think that Raiden is a secret character?

You know, that naked guy from Metal Gear Solid?

He gets clothes later, of course.

he is the main protagonist in metal Gear solid 2 (solid Snake is also playable in the first part but you play with him less)

and they say naked because he gets FULLY undressed in MGS 2 near the end of the game (you do get your suit back)

Raiden's a fruit. If there's gonna be another MGS character, it's gonna be the young Revolver Ocelot.

Raiden's new suit looks very odd but I like it.

I have never played a MGS game(I'm told I should) but the sheer hatred I see alot of people give Raiden makes me love him.

So, yay. Probably the biggest debate (Apart from Newcomers) would have been what controls Brawl would use.


It's been confirmed now that it'll be using all of them.

There’s no need to be confused about what does what—just choose the play style you prefer!

I suppose I would recommend the Nintendo GameCube controller, though. I like the feel of that powerful rumble.

Still, try out the other controls—they definitely give you a fresh experience.

So, Smash Bros Dojo has updated again, this time with "Metroid Boss Batle Music: Ridley Theme"

I would think they would have changed the name or something. >__>

If there is a reason it's named that, however, it could mean Ridley as a playable character, or each character has their own "Boss" at the end of...Story Mode, maybe?

Probably a level hazard/feature similar to Kraid in Melee.

That's what I was thinking...but I then remembered that the designers had a supposed "Fun poll" out sometime last year, with a list of characters people would like to see in Brawl. Ridley was on the list, so there's a possibility.


But then again, this is just info from Smash Boards, so I'm not positive. @__@

Has anyone caught wind of the icon filename fiasco? Well it's not really a fiasco per se, but it's still interesting.

If you right-click the character icons (Like the Super Mushroom or the Star-Fox Logo) and hit properties, it shows you the image's url. The images are organized numerically.

So far, the largest numeric value that's been found on any of them is 18, on the Kid Icarus icon. This means that as of right now, there are a maximum of 18 different game franchises being included in Brawl.

The other already-revealed icons are:
1. Smash Bros.
3. Star Fox
4. Kirby
6. Metroid
8. Pokemon
9. Zelda
10. Mario
11. Yoshi
18. Kid Icarus

That leaves nine empty slots. If you take away the others which we already know (Wario and Metal Gear Solid), there's 7. And then if you assume that every character from the ORIGINAL Smash Bros. will return, then you must remove Earthbound and F-Zero as well, which leaves 5. With these assumptions in stock, we're looking at at least 5 new franchise additions. And that's only if Kid Icarus is the last; which it may not be.

I'm starting to get excited!

Edit: Also, the Mario logo has been NSMB-ified. It used to be blocky and bland, and it is now very rounded and has three spots on it. Looks like Sakurai is changing these things as he goes along.
