I'm a good American, because I do think. Haven't you taken a government class before?

The US government is a democratic republic. In a democracy, or even in a republic, it is required for the citizens to think. Therefore, in order to be a good American, or any other country that uses a democratic republic, is to think.

I shouldn't assume anything, but I think you are trying to say that most American citizens are not good citizens. Over 50% don't register and from the ones who do, over 50% don't even even vote.

You know what is the biggest thing that boils my blood? Most who do vote are old people. It's good for them that the the majority that votes are old, but that's another reason why we have such a big budget deficit. They vote for their extra welfare and other government programs without care, because, heck, they are going to die soon. They don't need to care about future higher taxes. They are only concerned about numeral uno.

So, in conclusion, vote and stop voting for wasteful spending, people.

For the sake of being serious, in voting, if a bill has anything on it saying we'll have to pay for it, I'm not voting for it. It'd only cost more money for future generations.

I agree with you Breakman, young people need to start voting, and fast. >.> If we let the old people keep voting, then we'll never get anywhere, and the whole country's gonna go down the drain.

I would vote, but i'm not old enough to yet.

I like the world being controlled by the rich and intellectual. If some extremely popular individual had the ability to galvanize the proletariat and the working class realized they could be just as smart as the upper class that rules the world, well, the results would be catastrophic!

That's true.

Deportion, yes. Execution for a potential crime? Stupid. Especially beheading. What is this, the French Revolution?

No.

I believe wholeheartedly in what we are doing in Iraq. For what they did to us, we have every right to defend ourselves. Screw the oil, we would have gotten it one way or another. Either we can carpet bomb them, day and night, or nuke them and make a nice Walmart parking lot.

Yeah! I agree totally!

Uh... what did Iraq do again?

The people we are fighting don't care about themselves, or anyone else besides their own people. They believe that we should all die, because we don't believe what they do. They don't care about their own lives, and would gladly give them up for the good of 'Allah.'

Do you honestly think that this is the only group of people who's done that? People have killed in the name of Buddha for Christ's sake!

I talked with SGT Hart, and he told me of Iraqi women cutting open their own babies in the dead of night, stuffing them full of C4, running up to troops and detonating the IED.[/quote]

This is actually the first I've ever heard about this. So I really can't comment on it.

And it's not a small little 'radical islam' sect, it's all of them, people! Their whole religion is centered on 'killing the infidels.' WE are Infidels! They want to kill each and every single one of us, because their twisted religion has taught them that we are the devil.

Actually--at least in early Islam--Muslims were forbidden from harming Christians and Jews. No protection was afforded for anyone else, but it was a helluva lot nicer than everyone else was at the time.

I don't want to misrepresent your views, but it almost sounds like your strategy is to teach everyone that Muslims are the evil, right? It sounds familiar.

Budianto told the crowd. "Only Muslims can understand what jihad is. It is impossible that jihad can be linked with violence, we Muslims have no violent character." - FOX news story about the Pope's comment about Islam

---

In the West Bank city of Nablus, a Greek Orthodox and an Anglican Church were fire-bombed by a group called the Lions of Monotheism who said they were carried out to protest the pope's speech. A Greek Orthodox church was also attacked in Gaza City.

Several organizations, such as Al-Qaeda and the Mujahideen Shura Council threatened in a joint statement: "you and the West are doomed as you can see from the defeat in Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya, and elsewhere. ... We will break up the cross, spill the liquor and impose the jizya tax, then the only thing acceptable is a conversion (to Islam) or (being killed by) the sword. ... God enable us to slit their throats, and make their money and descendants the bounty of the Mujahideen."

Employees of Ankara's Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı, the state body that organizes Muslim worship in Turkey, asked the authorities on September 19th to open legal proceedings against Pope Benedict XVI and to arrest him when he visits the country in November 2006. They said the Pontiff had violated Turkish laws upholding freedom of belief and thought by "insulting" Islam and the Prophet Muhammad.

Outside Westminster Cathedral, on September 18th 2006, around a hundred protestors held banners which included calls for the Pope's execution, "Pope go to Hell" and "Jesus is the slave of Allah", "Islam will conquer Rome," and "May Allah curse the Pope."

The Lashkar-e-Toiba in Pakistan has issued a Fatwa asking the Muslim community to kill Pope Benedict for his "blasphemous statement" about the Prophet Mohammad.

That's rich, oh so very rich.
