Because a japanese lady did it. Voices are superficial, besides Rock is a little boy anyhow, you want him to sound like James Earl Jones?
Superficial things can be important if they are bad enough to ruin a game. This game was the greatest example of this for me. Oh, and btw, I never though Mega Man was a little boy untill Powered up came out, it was the only game that truely said this. I always had pictured him as a man...you know like the title states, Mega MAN!?!

Yeah, that SFX sucked. But wow, way to be nitpicky..do you enjoy anything in life?
Yes, as I matter a fact I do. I enojoyed almost every other Mega Man title for instance...

How is he dumb and not the 30 other stupid Robot Masters that serve no purpose other than to be "the water one"? At least Clown Man had a unique design with the stretching arms and trapeze bar in the room.
Stupid in your opinion, and required in mine. Robot masters based on elements have been part of the games since the first one...so why shouldn't they be part of every title? You know, that's why they're called sequals, they continue something people know and love, and somthing some of us prefer doesn't change.

Jump jump! Slide slide! Incredibly annoying... Wrong.
Admit it, you only didn't like that because you suck ass at that part, n00b.
Heh, maybe at first. However, I got past all of it after a bit of memoriztion. The thing is, unlike the other Mega Man games, going through these sections wasn't fun because of the annoying voice. Sure I could have just muted it or somthing, but that is besides the point. Games shouldn't have to be muted to be fun. The block patterns can be tough the first time through, but over comming them was fun..and there wasn't a stupid (imo) voice telling you to jump either.

An additional weapon given at the start... I thought it was a neat idea. But oh yeah, HOW DARE CAPCOM DEVIATE FROM THE SAME FORMULA THEY'VE BEEN USING FOR 10 YEARS, WOE NAG CRY CUT CUT CUT
Well hey, everyone deserves their own opinion. Personally I would have rather seen a cooler weapon given at the start instead of...what you got. On a side note, sometimes a formula doesn't need chaning. X7 is a perfect example of this...

Dr. Light sounds like Elmer Fudd. Wrong.
Again, voice acting is superficial. I'm sure plenty were pleased with the dub, personally the only voice I liked was Wily's. And I know plenty of people would complain if it WASN'T dubbed.
Why is it too much to ask to have some decent voice actors? I actually prefered the way X6 was done over getting bad voice acting as was done in Mega Man 8.

Pot, kettle, black.
Well I thought he did, and that's my opinion. If you don't agree, that's fine.

Funny that you haven't mentioned anything about the gameplay at all yet. You know, one of the only things that really matter?
If the only decent thing in a game is gameplay...somtimes everything else can ruin it. There are a ton of different examples of this.

..I didn't think the blast was small and underpowered. Compared to MM4 the blast was hueg (like Xbox). Also, X4 was much much worse in this regard, having to hear Zero go "yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah" when you're clinging to a wall trying to avoid attacks.
Well Mega Man 4's blast should be smaller, after all that's when he very first got it. You know, as the story pregreses Mega Man weapons should improve...that makes sense. X4's Zero voice fit him perfectly, and therefore wasn't annoying. (imo)

Do you have ears? The music was very good for a Megaman sequel, plus it was an early PS title.
I hated almost all of it. You have your opinion, and I have mine. I loved most of the music from all of the others though... Music is a very important part of a game, it sets the mood.

Yeah Megaman was never cartoony, I mean ever.
Well I didn't think of them that way untill this title came out. Besides I don't have a problem with cartoony graphics are done right, this game just didn't do the rest of the series justice at all. (imo)

"I have no valid opinion, I'm a nitpicker." Okay then.
Well, if that what you think I am I guess I could really care less.
