Washington had a huge storm on Thursday night, knocked out electricity for hundreds of thousands of people. It's Tuesdays night and I still don't have power!
I have to stay in a hotel since my house is freezing.
Christmas '06 blows.

OfflineNope, go a few minutes in any direction and you get power. My street is the only one in the area.
That reminds me of the crisis that happened in Quebec back in 1998. Some people couldn't get power back in weeks because of a major icy rain storm that caused part of the lines to crash down. I was only out of power for a day or so, thankfully.

Last year in November I was in a similiar situation. In South Dakota we had a huge...I mean massive ice storm. There was 3 inches of ice on everything, then we had a blizzard the very next day, and got almost 2 feet of snow. There were 30ft. drifts in some areas... I didn't have power for 10 days. There were 500,000 people out of power during that storm, over half the state. Light poles buckled under the stress. I think I remember them saying on the news that they had to replace over 2 million poles.

Being down in Florida, all I have to worry about are those damned hurricanes. I was hit badly by one last year and was out of power for nearly two weeks. Good thing I had a generator, though.
Good thing I live nowhere near there. I only have to watch out for the occasional flooding, tidal waves and rainstorms.

I live in Ohio so the worst I get are blackouts and the occasional tornado, mainly the blackouts though...

I can't retell any major storms I've been through, because there weren't any. There was a major black out for 2 days where I live back in the summer, all our ice cream melted D:

And pentagrams aren't for protection anyway. They're for banishment (magickal banishment). PentaCLES are for protection. Pentagrams have the point at the bottom.
