Has anyone ever wondered why through all the years of the x series, no one was able to make a perfect copy of him? Surely his design wasn't that advance to where it wasn't able to be copied for decades-centuries (however long the storyline was).

Personaly I could never come up with a theory on this, so I was wondering what you guys could come up with, using either factual evidence or just simple reasoning.

(It's not just the failure in copies of x that confuses me. Its also how even though Dr. Light is dead, that his capsules he left behind were always able to give x a new upgrade through out the years that wasn't obselete compared to the other advances other scientists had made by that time.)

Technology Gnomes.

First, they steal upgrades and put them in Dr. Light's spare capsules.

Then... ???

Finally, profit.

Heh... even if there were technology gnomes... why would they put it in a capsule for megaman when they can just arrive at the maverick hunter base and give it / sell it to him? :hehe:

"Oops, where'd I put that common sense chip for the Gnome bots...? Meh, back to me special medicine...*glugglugglug*"

If Dr. Light had already made all of those various upgrades for X before he died, then why had he not simply installed the best ones in him right away?

My answer to that question is that he might have thought that X should have gradually been given more powers and abilities over time to allow him to adjust to them. Besides that, Dr. Light had hoped that X would not have to be a war machine, but he had prepared him for that possability anyway.

My next question, how could Dr. Light talk interactively with X, long after he died?

My answer, AI. He must have programmed most of his knowledge and personality into a computer and then made copies of that data and installed them in every capsule before he hid them.

Now for your question, how could X have been so advanced that noone could perfectly copy him even over hundred years after his creation?

My theory... Dr. Light must have been like Einstein. Even today, many years since his death, we still cannot fully understand his equations and how he was able to come up with them.

Also, Ciel managed to perfectly replicate X's body. But, without X's memories and mind, it would not truly be X.

That's new information for me. My theories and thoughts are from the X series only. I still havn't played through the Zero series yet, although I've owned all of them for quite some time now.

Also, whose to say which are "best"? Different parts for different situations--and don't say the Ultimate Armor, there are plenty of instances where a different armor is more suited to a situation than the Ultimate Armor.

Spike pit for example? I know shadow armor saved my ass on that several times.

The spike pit has been around though long before X had the shadow armor, so I'm not quite sure thats what that armor was meant for. I'm sure it helps out though. ^^

Besides, he probably wanted to make sure that it was OK for X to have that power before he gave it to him.

Definitely. The world would not like Ultimate Armor Maverick X.

Actually, the world would all be Maverick by the time they had a say in the issue if that happened - they'd love Ultimate Armor Maverick X.

...and his sidekicks, Sigma and Vile.

More like lackeys, I'd say, if X'd go Maverick.

I think Maverick X and Maverick Zero would be partners.

If not, they'd be mortal enemies.

I can totally see that happen now: Capcom coming up with an "alternate timeline" where the Zero and ZX series did not occur, but where X and Zero both went Maverick.




Seriously, that'd rock.

I can see it now: He kills Zero and sets his system to start purging the Maverick Virus just as he starts absorbing the Pure Strain Zero Virus and becomes as unto a dark god.

And at the end of his run-around, he shoots himself to death to finish the virus...

You may have noticed I have not bought X7, X8, Command Mission, IHX, or plan on buying any other Megaman X game ever. But if you make a game where you play as Maverick X, killing humans and hunters for fun and profit, I will pay you money.
