The Mega Man Network has been down for about two weeks now. I haven't heard anything about the site shutting down or moving somewhere else, so I don't really know what's going on.

In case anyone's interested, they've created a backup forum since the site is down.

They're forced to do manual validations if you sign up, but they do have the reason why the site is down posted on it.

InactiveReeve would have never left this happen to Megaman X Online. Figures, blame the Megaman Outpost team.

Actually, the Megaman Outpost "team" (which was pretty much Slash alone) vanished as soon as the merger happened. If you want to blame someone, you'll have to go against the current Mega Man Network administration, and no one else.
Web hosting can be tricky, though, so I wouldn't start hurling rocks at them. Sometimes, things happen before you even have a chance to react.

Yeah what the hell happened to Slash and Reeve anyway?
Our internets battles were like, so awesome you could get people to pay for them on Pay-Per-View
And I can't do flashy news headlines like "Reeve takes over the world" anymore. 
Shame shame.
As I mentioned above, Slash / Slash Raptor / Bolt Kraken / Snakeman / whoever was the man behind the Megaman Output. When the merger with Megaman X Online was announced, it was assumed that he and Reeve would be at the helm of the new site. A few short weeks later, something went sour (I don't know the exact details), and Slash left the site. As far as I know, he never looked back to the Mega Man community after he moved on. Ultimately, the Mega Man Network just took over the web space, and little was left of the Megaman Output.
Reeve, sometime after he expanded his site to the full Mega Man Network format, got Tim as an administrative assistant. As time went on, Reeve gradually faded away from the scene as he didn't have much time to dedicate to the site anymore. Ultimately, Tim officially took the helm while Reeve remained as "founder and consultant", or something like that. It's been a few years since I've last heard news about him, really.
