Minecraft! Minecraft! Minecraft!

With 4 million sales and counting, not even out of beta as of this writing, this game took the web by storm. The initially simple, accessible, blocky world appealed to many people who now play either in single player, multiplayer, or using tons of mods. Check it out at http://www.minecraft.net !

Giving up, no; but focusing less on it, yes.

I want to make the website and the board more active, and branching out feels like the best way to do it. That's why I'm starting with Minecraft!

Figured I'd mention this. I had to clear out the town a bit.

I logged in and saw skeletons and zombies.

Wasn't sure if they were suppose to be around the town.

Wrong forum, stuff that applies to the server should go in the Creeper's Lab forum! No biggie though, it'll take a while before we get used to this.

There shouldn't be any mobs within the main town area (where there are torches everywhere), but it's possible that a small zone wasn't covered properly. Also, the area beyond the small lake with the fountain isn't protected by a fence, so enemies can casually walk in from that side. I'll gradually increase the protected area as more buildings rise from the ground.

Uhh...

I wasn't even aware there was a creeper's lab forum..

How sad is that..

Point taken. I'll admit that it's a bit lost in the list of forums, even though I reduced it's display size.

I've got another update coming, hopefully this weekend, that should make things a bit more obvious.
