A while ago, Make and I came up with a brilliant solution to a terrible problem.

The problem is that many mod.s aren\'t online when Make and I are online and this is simply because of the time differences. BreakMan is sometimes online at the same time as us but quite rarely. Also, remember the avents of hub-hikari-is-a-prick? And Joason6377? They both happened at a time when no mods were online. We (meaning Bass Delux and me) both sent lots of reports about them (sorry, doc.) but they only got sorted out a long time after we both went to bed. Hub-hikari-is-a-prick got banned and Joason 6377 has stopped SPAMming and is now a good member.

We think that a solution to problems like this would be to hire mods from different timezones.

We\'ve already told doc, but what does everyone else think?

Well, you can\'t have a thousand mods. Doc certainly can\'t trust that many people with power.

And this looks like a blatant \'make Makeman and I mods\' thread, to me...

But anyway, mods are reasonably useless when it comes to \'evil\' spammers that just come here to spam. What can they do? Just lock topics and say \'stop spamming\'. Just do as always, and wait for Doc to come online and ban them after their miserable attempt at spamming..heh.

That\'s insulting! (Now that you mention it, that\'s a brilliant idea!) Actually, Make said loads of times now \'I don\'t want to be a MOD!\' All I mean is that we only need about one MOD who\'s online for quite a lot but cannot spend all day without sleep. NOW! What do you think?

A message board is a place for people to interact in their own good time, not in real time like in a chatroom. No one in his or her right mind would stay in a place like such all day long... You\'d be bored out of your skull.

Besides, spam isn\'t like a virus that absolutely has to be deleted and/or locked immediately to repair any sort of damage. It just sits there until we come online, find it, and act on it.

And I would propose a suggestion to you AirMan, since you do this a lot:

Instead of wasting all that effort typing a complaint by posting something on a spam thread that\'s inevitably going to be deleted anyway, why not report it instead to Hakase-kun and PM us Mods, \'kay? It may not be acted upon immediately, but it will be dealt with accordingly when any one of us are online.

Make PMs me a lot so I know which threads I have to kill... Why don\'t you do the same if you\'re that concerned about the board?

AirMan...people have lives, you know. There\'s no one that could sit here all day and night, refreshing the page over and over to see if spam has showed up. That\'s insane.

I agree with Bass deluxe. You need more moderstors to take care of spammers that are online when no mods are online.

I mean That we need more mods from different time zones to take care ohf things around the clock. I should not be online noew but since I have no school on a wednsday (over here) I am online.

I am VERY pleased with what Yumi and Breakman do when they are on... they do excellent jobs. however, I do think there could atleast be one more trusty person to be a mod on here, maybe someone who gets on at a different time than any other of the two mods.

I understand what you\'re saying, but don\'t you think that some people might not want to see the SPAM and they can\'t do anything about it until a mod\'s online? Take Make for example. He\'s left because of SPAMmers. (Actually, the SPAMmer in question, *cough*Jaosn*cough*, has stopped SPAMming so I don\'t know what\'s wrong.) The point is, people don\'t like to see SPAM so don\'t you thing people should be able to do something about it at the time they\'re online, and when they go offline, another mod comes on. So there is always at least one person fighting the stuff we all hate: SPAM (and no, I don\'t mean the processed pork in a can)!

I heard from hublo there was 2 peopl that were harrasing people and etc. Rock banned them. Reminds me of the time I saw the 2 banned (Im Ed by the ay I forgot my pssword lol)

RockManZero is Rock and he first reported them and Dr.Cossack banned the 2:P

And, like I said lastnight in the topic that Keiji deleted after X Prime pwned him, I think that Make\'s sig is pretty..out there. Since when did he have control over who gets banned and when?
