Yes. It was Dr. Albert Wily himself who created Zero.
I think you mean, not cool. If Dr. Wily created a certain robot, I say that\'s bad!!
but zero doesn\'t really follow what wily wants (i think)

I play Counter-Strike and 2D fighters.
Bryan, Zero is an android like X, meaning first of all that both X and he are superior to Reploids as they are copied rom X\'s Technology. Sigma was cloned almost perfectly almost matching X and Zero\'s Power. X and Zero are so Technologicly advanced, that putting them under full power is near impossible. Wily solved this by infecting Zero with a Virus which would let Wily control him. Instead however, It made Zero out of control when he was released from his hundred year imprisonment within the capsule. Zero went on a rampage. Wily, though he wanted destruction, would have wanted a plan. Sigma and Zero fought, and though Sigma was strong, Zero was stronger. Zero was about to make the finishing blow when the control of wily was trying to take over. A W flashed into his forehead, giving Sigma the oppurtunity to defeat him. But The virus left Zero and entered Sigma. Zero turned into the hero we know of his own free will. Something Wily never intended for him to have. Sigma though, was controlled by waily whose purpose was to destroy the earth by now. and there you have it
Here\'s a question. . .
Was Zero created with the capacity for free will or did he not have any free will until Dr. Cain repaired him after the fight with Sigma?
I don\'t know why Wily would risk giving a robot free will, even if the virus was meant as a control mechanism, when he could barely control Bass who lacks free will.
The problem with Bass is that Wily sometimes tries to make him do things that run counter to the directives he programmed into Bass, causing Bass to disobey Wily.
Given that difficulty, why would Wily risk creating a machine that could deliberately ignore his orders or turn on him whenever it felt like it?
I can understand Dr. Light making a machine with free will, this was probably his ultimate goal all along. It doesn\'t make sense with Wily though since he demands total obedience from his creations and a robot with free will could always disobey him. A control mechanism to curb a machine\'s free will goes against the whole point of giving it that ability and if its will is strong enough it might be able to overide the control devices.
So does Zero really have free will and who gave it to him?
Wily probably gave it on accident.
Taken into the account that Wily was responsible for the likes of Chargeman and Tomahawkman, it\'s not unlikely that Wily was TANKED when he made Zero.
Sometimes I wonder, what if we took the warning labels off of everything? Can you imagine how much more entertaining life would be?
dr wily created zero if u beat the power battles 2 with bass it will show dre wily tlaking to bass abotu zero then they show the outline of what looks exactly like zero

Dr. Wily created Zero... After you beat MM9 or MM7, Wily explains that he is creating Zero.
Zero was created to kill Megaman. Zero didn\'t know his true purpose until the X series. Before that, Zero killed Wily. BlahBlahBlah....
Oh yeah, he wasn\'t created to have free will. He malfunctioned, which lost almost all of his programing..

It is impossible for zero to be created by willy if you play x1 you will know
Are you talking about Dr. Cain? No, no , n-o.....*shakes head*
Dr. Cain had Zero bought to him, basically. He didn\'t make him, just found him is all.
And I\'ve played through X1...I have no idea what you\'re talking about, unless you mean Sigma. Even then, Sigma discovered Zero and was, then after, brought to Dr. Cain\'s lab. Then Sigma contracted the virus Zero was carrying and went loco. Zero was then reactivated, his memory circuits damaged, and then proceeded to stop Sigma.
....Anything else? Correct me if I\'m mistaken....
Reality swirled in a wholly blue manner, revealing absolutely nothing of merit. Things flashed madly in and out of existence like some entirely other sort of phenomena. On a whim, Kurt Vonnegut imploded, taking a sizeable hunk of Massachusetts with him. However, seeing as Massachusetts wasn't entirely sure it existed, the chunk wasn't all that big.
Here\'s a good question.
What happened to Dr. Cain? Last time I saw him was in MMX3. There\'s no record of him dying...he just vanished into thin air.
