Why won\'t they bring back Protoman in the X series? There are too many zeros in the games lately. I mean, whatever happend to Megaman\'s brother?

Wily\'s not bringing back any RM\'s. As far as I\'m concerned, the onl time we\'ll actually see Wily is if they make MM9. Which isn\'t happening any time soon. It\'s not even an idea annouced.

I usually refer Chill Penguin to Iceman or Axle The Red to Plantman. If you ask me, The X series is sort of a remix of the original (with new and improved ideas and concepts.)

With the way the x series is going, DASH 3 is probably going to link to the old series as well...that is...if they release it....or do a manga or anime.

u know, they DID have the many references in DASH 1 and two. For some reason, there is a DASH ad in 1, and intwo, there r numerous references such as the zero poster and the tv showing the anime. of course, none of these are directly linked to the old series,as far as the eng translation is concerned. who knows how the two could be linked

Interesting. I think that it\'s mentioned that Roll named Trigger after her favorite videogame character. The Zero poster and anime could just mean that in Dash Megaman and Megaman X are video game series there.

I haven\'t really heard any convincing evidence for Legends being a part of the Megaman, X, and Zero timelines. Capcom does have tendency to put references to other games they make in new games though.

As for the robot masters, I don\'t think we\'ll see any of them. Wily will probably just build mavericks or let Sigma find new soldiers. I do think that Wily may build some fortress gaurdians though...but technically many of them aren\'t robot masters.

I don\'t think the regular megaman series will coincide with the X series

I bet you anything that x7 will explain more about the past than all the games combined. And dont say that the two never coincide, because in case you havnt noticed, dr light left hollographic messages with the upgrades he left. it is inevitable that the past will be revealed. Another thing that links back to the old series is zero\'s visions of wily. x7 will probably have more adventure elements than the last games and with adventure games comes more story. Another thing that should be explained is why sigma contracted the virus in the first place. many reploids had already revolted, but when sigma defected, he was already a high ranking commander of his own unit. this gave him the prestige needed to controll the other mavericks. The only thing that is not ecplained is why sigma seems to have a soul. actually, its more of a demon, but it works good either way. How is it that he can possess the forms of many rebuilt bodies, yet never truly die?If he can do this, why doesnt he just possess x and zero and use their bodies to commit suicide? Maybe he can only possess the huge ugly head things.

Well Sigma try to posses Megaman in X3 when you defeat his battle body but then well it dependes how you play the game zero or doctor doppler came and destroyed the sigma virus that why sigma probley wont try.
