Right, I\'m pritty sure everyone pritty much agrees that X4\'s current voice acting is... lowly..

I\'ve decided to start this little project, to change the voice acting for X4\'s anime cut scenes. It\'s a good idea don\'t you think?
Imagine hearing Zero actually HAVING emotion in that scene with Iris!
Imagine X not sounding like a little girl!
If you think you can voice act, then help us out!

Current places are (descriptions of possible voices):

X - Teenage sounding voice.
Sample Needed - \"This is Megaman.. whats going on back there?\"

Zero - Early 20\'s or Teenager.
Sample Needed - \"The same dream.. again..\"

General - Typical army general. Either British or American sterotype will do. Sharp voice.
Sample Needed - \"I will not betray the humans..\"

Colonel - I always pictured him as having a bold warrior type voice, didn\'t you?
Sample Needed - \"Very well.. i\'ll spare your life for now..\"

Iris - Concerned young women.
Sample Needed - \"Zero! Please don\'t fight with my brother!

Sigma - If you can do something like he sounds in X4, then you\'d do great!
Sample Needed - \"It’s me.. the Maverick Hunters must not make it here alive.\"

Hunter 1 - You kno, the type of person who shouts \"Dude\". Surfer voice maybe?
Sample Needed - \"Oh no.. not again.\"

Hunter 2 - Similar to Hunter 1, but a different person.
Sample Needed - \"Hey watch it you big goofball!\"

Hunter 3 - Similar to Hunters 1 and 2, but a different person.
Sample Needed - \"What a dumbass...\"

Hunter 4 - Typical \"Yes sir, no sir!\" voice.
Sample Needed - \"It\'s commander Sigma!\"

Hunter 5 - Rough tough guy.
Sample Needed - \"Now i\'m certain no-one is a match for the commander.\"

Right, it isn\'t just an exact copy of X4\'s script, there will be changes (as you can see from the samples needed), mostly to make it sound more realistic and interesting.
(There will probably be edits to the animation itself to compensate for the edits.)

If you feel like helping out, then please record yourself doing a voice for any of the characters listed (using the lines listed underneath the character descriptions), and sending me them via:

I might just outright say \"sorry not good enough\". Other times I\'ll accept, but if something better comes along, then I have the right to change the role.

Finally, try to make sure there isn\'t too much background noise. (Basically, make sure its acceptable.)

When we get round to recording the entire thing, i will inform you, and send you the edited script.

We will also need to find somewhere to host these, although if theres enough interest, I\'m sure on of the big MM sites will be happy to host these large files.

So, think you can do a better job than Capcom?

i can sort of sound like x, the colonel (i think) and zero....but when i record it, i sound like a mouse!

As mush as I would like this, My only microphone makes me sound like I\'m speaking through a telephone.

It was better than Megaman 8\'s, but thats not saying much.

Yea, it basically will be what you said, but edits will have to be made (probably limited to frame swapping) to accomerdate teh edits to the script.

Ok, I\'ll try. I will get a friend over my house and record our voices. Trust me, my friend has acted in several plays. He is great at changing his voice. I\'ll see what I can do. Good Luck!

id rather hear the japanese voices. I dont like english very much. Anyone fluent in japanese pronunciation with a good voice? If you ask me, Capcom should just start over from x3 and NOT do english dubs, edit the storys to make more sense, and clean it up more to make it better. You gotta wonder where they get these voice actors.....

I can voice act, but apparently, I can\'t give you a demonstration, because I don\'t have a microphone hooked up to my comp.

Next weekend, I\'m going to a friend\'s house who has a microphone hooked to his comp. I\'ll send it to ya!

We had a microphone hooked up at our house, but it doesn\'t work anymore. Besides, I\'m really not any good voice acting. I have to say, X\'s voice has always left me bitter. It always sounds like a little girl\'s. It\'s very irritating and canned. I truly think that X is probably in the most need of a voice makeover.
